North Tempe Neighborhood Senior Center
The Concord Senior Center, located one block west of Scottsdale Rd. and two blocks south of Continental, welcomes people over age 60 in the North Tempe area to share a nutritious and delicious lunch with a friendly group of seniors. The Concord Senior Center has been packing hot lunches to deliver to the homebound and has been serving a hot lunch at the center since 1981. Seniors participate in daily activities such as cards, bingo, and exercise classes. Guest speakers are invited in three times a month to share information on topics of interest to older adults. In addition, the staff provides social service assistance and referrals. The Concord Senior Center welcomes all new participants over age 60 and those under age 60 as guests or program volunteers. Lunch is served Monday-Friday at 11:45 AM. The suggested contribution for lunch is $2.00 for those over age 60 and $3.00 for those under age 60.
