WHAT DO WE DO? Our mission is to make North Tempe the best place to live. Canal ParkThis year we have worked to clean up Canal Park and make it a safe beautiful place for N. Tempe residents. We did a clean up in March and have worked with the Tempe Police Dept. and Parks Maintenance to keep it clean and safe. Master Plan for Canal ParkWe applied for and received a grant from the City of Tempe to Master Plan Canal Park. This spring, we will ask for your input about your ideas for Canal Park. Picnic in the Park/ Gain
We had our “Picnic in the Park/GAIN” in Canal Park on October 13th 2001. It was a celebration of the park cleanup and a kick off for the next phase of our park project. We don’t have an actual count of attendance. But we served about 600 hot dogs. (we know at least 50 were eaten by Jim) We want to thank all of the North Tempe Citizens who attended and volunteered their time to help. If we do it again next year, we want you and others, and at an earlier date. Community Meetings
NTNA has sponsored community meeting on topics of interest to the neighborhoods, such as airport noise, park problems, stadium, Citizens on Patrol, ect.
