Johnny G. Martinez Water Treatment Plant Expansion Update
The design for the planned expansion of the Johnny G. Martinez Water Treatment Plant is moving forward. In an effort to keep the local community informed about the project, and receive your comments, the City of Tempe will be providing an update on the different elements of the expansion design at the January 13th, 2003 meeting of the NTNA. We look forward to seeing you at that meeting.
In the meantime, if you’d like to receive more information on this expansion or provide your comments, please visit our project website at ims.carollo.com/jgmwtpexpansion, or contact Don Hawkes, City of Tempe, 480-350-2660, or your NTNA representative.

General Plan (2030)
The City of Tempe is writing the General Plan for how our city will develop. The Growing Smarter Plan passed by Arizona voters in 2000 dictates, by law, that all cities must have planned development.
The General Plan for Tempe will go before the voters in 2004. Now is the time to give your input about how you would like to see Tempe develop.

NEIGHBORS OF THE YEAR
NTNA selects a person each year who exemplifies achievement in the spirit of making our neighborhood a better place to live, work, and play. The unanimous selection this year was Neighbors of the Year, Darlene and Bill Justus and Family. Darlene served on the Architectural Selection Committee for the Multi-Gen Center, Zoning re-write Committee, and was Chairman of “Picnic in the Park”. It was a family affair. Bill and the rest of the family pitched in all the way.
