Filing a claim is quite simple. There are no fees for submitting a Warranty claim. Making a claim requires that the Client accept the full terms and conditions of the Covenant Home Warranty. When you make a claim the following minimum requirements must be achieved. In the event an eligible Warranty claim is submitted during the Warranty coverage period, the final supporting documentation for the claim must be submitted within 72 hours after the expiration date of the Warranty or the claim will be disallowed. When it is necessary to extend the time period for the warranted repair to be performed, a time extension exception is only applicable when parts and labor necessary for the subject repair are delayed, and CHW has approved this exception for purposes of a specific eligible warranty claim. The extension claim must be submitted within 30-Days after the expiration date of Warranty. A claim must include:

   a) A completed claim form that includes:
  At least one repair invoice or proposal if the total cost of remedy is less than $200.00; or
  Two repair contractor proposals if total cost of remedy is between $200.00 and $500.00; or
  Three repair contractor proposals if total cost of remedy is more than $500.00.

   b) If claim is filed under a 30-Day warranty client is to have paid the Inspection Company for the Home Inspection thereby enabling the Inspection Company to pay the 30-Day Warranty premium fee. The Inspection Company will confirm receiving payment for the Home Inspection and Client’s approval of the Inspection Agreement authorizing the 30-Day Warranty to be put into place for the benefit of the Client.

   c) To have documentation demonstrating that all item(s) in the Home Inspection related to subject of the claim was in functional working order when the 30-Day Warranty or the 12-Month Warranty began. The Final Home Inspection report will usually suffice for this requirement.


All claims must be submitted in writing promptly after the discovery of a potential Warranty claim. Claims will not be accepted following 72 hours from the expiration of the Warranty period unless pending repair parts and an exception has been made. All claims settled by payment per the terms of this Warranty are final and complete resolution of the claim.
