The Nevada Council for History Education, a state affiliate of the National Council for History Education was established in 2005. They believe that the social sciences and current issues are best studied in historical context and perspective. They support history as the core of the social studies. It provides a communications network for all advocates of history education, whether it is in the schools, museum, historical societies, humanities councils or community organizations. Memberships includes historians, history teachers authors, historical association and historical museum personnel and all history buffs. All lovers of history come together to speak with one voice in the promotion of history education

of school teachers, community college faculty, museum and historical society

The
Nevada Women’s History Project The Nevada Women’s History Project, a non-profit statewide educational organization, announces it first teacher of the year award. The purpose of this contest is to recognize an outstanding teacher who promotes the roles and contributions of Nevada women in their classroom. We are seeking lesson plans or programs that promote the study of Nevada women.
