My daughter,
With whom all things were shared.
Joys and sorrows and everyday worries,
Ideas and values and life's many choices.
Never imposing. Always welcome
For talk both serious and small.
With a warm heart and sensitive nature,
Cheerful smile and noble character
She endeared herself to all. And for a time She light brightened my life, Giving a richer More colorful texture To the fabric of my soul. Being admired and admiring.
Being known and knowing. These were great comfort to me. Now, the light of my daughter Has passed from my life.
The darkness  Once in retreat Advances. The loneliness Once abated Returns. I feel the despair growing within me
And know that I must not give in. For by her example I know she would want me To keep my head up and be strong. This I must do Out of respect for the memory
Of a beloved daughter.

In my dreams,

you are alive and well

Precious child, Precious child

In my mind,

I see you clear as a bell

Precious child, Precious child,

In my soul,

there is a hole

That can never be filled

But in my heart,

there is hope

"cause you are with me still

In my heart, you live on

Always there never gone

Precious child,

you left too soon

before your time

Tho' it may be true that we'er apart

You will live with forever....
