Hello, my name is Rob, and I also go by the name Nytro, I am happily married (for over 20 years now) to a wonderful
lady, and we have a teenage daughter. My family and I attend a FUNDAMENTAL, Bible preaching,
Baptist church, in northeast Ohio. I accepted Jesus into my life at the age of 9. My wife and I are both very active in our church.
I want to stress that, above everything else, I am a
CHRISTIAN!
Wouldn't this be cool to see on a church sign?!?!
Can I be in a socially nude situation without sin? While thinking about this issue recently,
God put a new twist on something that I have known for a long time. God, with the exception of the few examples in the
Bible, does not care what a person is wearing, but rather what is in a persons heart! Now, again, this wasn't a new
concept for me, however appalling it to the area of nudity was! The clothing we wear, or don't wear, is a personal choice, just
like any other personal liberty that God has given to us. But, like any other personal liberty, we need to use it responsibly!
Nudity, like everything else in a Christian's life, should be based on, and tested by God's word! Also,
you need to be able to answer the following questions:
1. What are my motives?
2. Will my involvement in this activity (in this case nudity) while around another brother in Christ, cause him (or her) to stumble?
3. Will this activity (again in this case my nudity) be a bad testimony for others to see?
These are all personal matters, however I feel that item #1 above is an important issue. If you are trying the naturist
lifestyle just to fulfill some sexual desires (exhibitionistic or voyeuristic), then you are getting into it for the wrong reason, and
a sinful reason. If you are interested in naturist as a Christian, because you feel that God created the human body and
called it good, and you are not ashamed of God's creation, then I think that you are heading into the right direction.
Not everyone will be comfortable in a socially nude environment. The concept of being nude with anyone other than your
spouse is a hard thing for some or even most people to get over. It is difficult to just dismiss years of what you have been taught.
I can not answer this question for anyone else but me, however if you are struggling with this question, I suggest that you pray about
it, God WILL give you an answer! However it may not be the answer you are looking for! Just remember that you need to follow
God's will, in everything you do!
One other issue I want to cover before moving on. Am I a Christian nudist, or a nudist Christian? I used to call myself a Christian
nudist, but that is stating that I'm a nudist first and foremost, this is wrong! I am first and foremost a Christian, that doesn't like to
wear clothing, making me a nudist Christian. I will never be mistaken as an English major, but I do want to make sure that Christ is the
center in all I do!
I need to take this time to ask you a question. If you were to be involved in a car accident today, and you died, do you know
where you would spend eternity? If you answered no to this question, and would like to know for sure how you can answer
yes, then
click here. If you answered yes to this question, then please continue
reading on.
GROWING INTO A NATURIST
As a teenager, I loved walking in the woods near my house. If I was ever in the woods alone, I couldn't keep my clothes on! I loved
the feeling of being outdoors without any clothing on. It made me feel so fantastic! We had a larger property, with a back yard
that was out of site of my house as well as the neighboring houses, which allowed me to find secluded areas to just remove my
clothing and enjoy the warm sun on my body.
I got married, and moved from that house. 6 years later my parents sold that house and moved into a townhouse, leaving me
without a secluded area to enjoy my outdoor nudity. Almost 12 years after getting married, I started remembering just how
much I enjoyed that time I spent in my backyard, or the nearby woods. A few years after we were married, the internet started to
explode on the scene, opening up the "information highway", and along with it came something called "search engines",
I was hooked! I searched for everything I could think of! I even did a search on things I thought I would never find, but tried
anyways. I did a search on "nudity" and also "Christians". I was surprised at what I found, there were other Christians that
enjoyed nudity, even social nudity! I wasn't the only one! But wait, what am I doing, as a Christian, I just couldn't go around
nude, after all the Bible calls this a sin, doesn't it!?!? These people had to be from some sort of cult, because they called
themselves Christians (as in followers of Christ), but they claimed that social nudity wasn't a sin, when enjoyed the
PROPER setting! What a bunch of FREAKS!!!
Even though I called them FREAKS, I was still drawn to look more into what they were talking about, because they had to
be wrong! But what if they weren't? Over a few years of searching, reading (both web pages and the Bible), and praying,
I have come to the understanding that the Bible doesn't condemn nudity, as long as it isn't used in sinful manner.
Some time around 2002 I started praying about this subject, asking God if this is something that a Christian should
be involved in. I had been praying about this for more than a solid year, without any solid answer, then one evening
on my way to a midweek prayer meeting at my church, my wife and daughter were both home sick, and me again in prayer about
my involvement in nudity, I heard a voice in my car, a clear and audible voice say
"I am not concerned with what's
on the outside of a man, but rather what's inside his heart". I almost drove off the road! Even though I was the only one
in my car, I still looked around to see who said that! I suddenly had a complete easiness come over me about the
subject of nudity in a Christian's life. Since that time, I have started this site, and been a little more active
in living as nude as possible.
I have enjoyed many activities while nude. I consider myself a nudist/naturist, NOT AN EXHIBITIONIST. I have listed
below some of the things I have done while nude. This is a list that continues to grow, and will be updated as needed!
On to the list:
My first social nudist activity was at a
Northcoast Naturist swim in September of 2000. I found their site on the internet and found
out when they where having a monthly swim. I got to the health club where the swim was being held, and without any fear, I
walked in and was ready to pay my entrance fee, but was told that since this was my first visit, I didn't have to pay! I was
instructed to go into one of the locker rooms and undress. Being my first visit, I instinctively walked into the men's locker room.
As soon a I turned the corner to find a locker, I came face to face with a nude women, who by the way wasn't my wife! What is
she doing in the men's locker room! Oh that's right, a nude swim means there are no men's or women's locker rooms, just
plain locker rooms! I didn't have any problem removing my clothing with women in the same locker room. That took care of
fear #2, because the woman I came face to face with wasn't exactly ugly, but I didn't have any problems with an erection! I left
the locker room and headed right for the pool. I ended up staying for about 2 hours, during that time I swam, rode a stationary
bike, and soaked in the hot tub, all without clothing, and in a mixed group. I ended up coming back to another swim in April of
2003. During that time I found out about a hike that the club does in July, at the Chautauqua gorge, in western New York.
I vacation near the gorge every year during the week of the Forth of July, so I planned on taking advantage of that hike.
I have been to the area where the Northcoast Naturists where planning their July hike many times before. It is a "skinny
dipping" location in a creek at the bottom of a deep gorge. After a long hike down an old dirt road into the gorge you end up
at the Chautauqua Creek. After you get to the creek, you make a bend to the right and end up passing a painted rock
proclaiming "nudist area for the next 1 mile".
The day of the hike, I headed out to see if anyone would show up. The drive from our cottage to the parking lot only
takes 15 minutes, but the hike to the "nudist" rock takes at least another 15-20 minutes. I only wore a pair of thin running
shorts, my water shoes (lots of rocks in that creek bed), and carried my towel. Once I got to the "nudist" rock I removed my
shorts, and then continued down the creek to "skinny dip falls", a location with a small water falls and a 6 foot deep "pool", with
large rocks nearby to soak up the sun. When I made it to "skinny dip falls", only one other man was there, so I picked out a
nice location where I would have plenty of sunshine. After 30 minutes or so a man and woman showed up, and they were
already naked! They were with the Northcoast group, but traveled ahead of the rest of the group. We were there for another
45 minutes before someone else showed up, then shortly after that, more people started to show up. I was only able to stick
around for 2-1/2 hours due to a lunch date with my wife and daughter, so I packed up and started heading back out. About
5 minutes into my hike back, I came upon a group of close to 30 men and women hiking towards the falls, some wearing
clothing, but most not! The hike out of the gorge it can easily take 45-60 minutes to get back up to the parking lot.
I chose to hike it naked!
I went back to the Chautauqua gorge later in the summer, this time I left my clothing in the Jeep and hiked down the trail naked!
I didn't run into anyone on the hike down. I spent close to 90 minutes at the falls before I hiked back out. I did run into someone
on my way back out, but I didn't even think about the fact that he was clothed and I wasn't! In fact, after I passed him, I looked back
and saw that he was removing his shorts!
The last time I was there this past summer was with a nephew. We had been in the area Mountain Biking for the weekend, and
ended up real muddy, so I told him about the nudist area in the gorge, and he wanted me to show him the area. I decided that
since I had a Jeep, and the gate at the top of the gorge at the parking lot was open, I would just drive down into the gorge.
I wouldn't recommend driving down unless you have a Jeep, because the "road" is very rough! I didn't end up getting nude
on that trip, but I did get a chance to tell my nephew about my nudist lifestyle! He is the first person, other than my wife, that
I told about my nudist ways! Since I "broke the news" to him, he and his wife have treated me the same as they always have!
I even told him that I am always naked when I am home alone, so that if he ever shows up at my house, and I don't answer
the door right away, it is because I am probably getting dressed. The night that we got back from our bike trip, he and his
wife tested the info that I had told him earlier that weekend, by stopping by to pick up something that he had left in my
Jeep. He knocked, and I yelled out to him to hold on, I'm getting dressed! He just laughed!
If you are interested in getting the directions to the Chautauqua Gorge in western New York, use the form below to email
me and request the directions, I would love to hear from others!
I have started a Yahoo Group (see the
link below), for naturists/nudists in the north east Ohio area.
I have met a few good people through that group since starting it. The first Friday of March this year (2004), we had a beautiful
warm day, with temp's getting in the lower 70's, so I decided to get out and enjoy the day, or at least what was left of it after
getting off work! I met up with someone from my group, and we headed out to a local park, and used the last sunlight of the
day to complete my first nude hike of the year. This hike was also a milestone for me, in it representing my first nude hike with
someone! I have hiked into areas where I was expecting to meet someone at my destination, or even meet someone one on
the trail, but all of those hikes have been completed with me walking alone. I don't know if that makes sense! We had a great
hike, we remained clothed for just over half of it, and then we stopped and removed our clothes and then continued on, and
stayed that way until we got back to where we parked! The hike lasted only about an hour, due to the sun going down and
darkness falling on us. I am looking forward to my next nude hike, and I hope that more of the members of my Yahoo group
will join us.
In September of 2004, I was diagnosed with
"Adult On-set Still's Disease" or AOSD. This may effect some of my nudist activities, sometime down the road. The
good news is that my doctor told me that walking and hiking would be good for me! Fortunately one of the things that I like to do while
nude is hike! The
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is close by,
and I use it as often as possible, along with other near by locations.
An update on my AOSD, in January 2005 I was told that my AOSD is in remission! God has answered many prayers! During
the height of this illness, I had many people in at least different church's, and also on 2 continents praying for me. I received
a card from South America, from someone I have never met, or even heard of, telling me that they were praying for me! It
turned out that this person was a client of my sisters business. God is truly AWESOME! I am truly thankful for AOSD, as
a result of it, my relationship with God is much closer, as I now rely on him for the strength I need to get through the
biggest and smallest challenges of my daily life!
It's now been over 2 years since I was told I was in remission, and God is still providing me with good health!
THE GOOD NEWS
God’s Plan of Salvation
God’s plan of salvation is wrapped up in the person of Jesus Christ. Who is Jesus to you? Jesus said "I am the way, the truth,
and the life." But he also said that many who think they know him and his way do not. It is our desire to introduce you to him and
help you get to know him.
Before we talk about Jesus, we must first talk about ourselves. We have all said bad things to say, thought bad things to think,
and done bad things to do. This is called sin. It does not matter how much bad we have done. It only matters that we have sinned.
This is bad news because the penalty for sin is death. This refers to spiritual death. Our sin has earned us death and eternal
separation from God…and there is nothing we can do about it. There is a great chasm between God and us that no one is good
enough to jump.
But there is good news too! Since there is no way for us to go to God, He came to us in the person of Jesus Christ. When Jesus,
who lived a perfect life with no sin of his own, died on the cross, he actually took the penalty of our sin for us. He died in our place.
Three days later he came back to life to show that he had beaten sin and death and that all of his claims were true. This is great
news because now we can be forgiven the punishment we deserve. We can be saved through faith in Christ. Faith means trust.
We are saved once we depend on him alone for eternal life. Being religious, going to church, helping people, or trying to be good
are not enough. These things are good, but they cannot merit forgiveness and eternal life. Jesus said, "I am the way." He is not
one of many ways, but the only way.
The Bible says, "if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you
will be saved." Lord means master. This means that you grant Jesus first place in your life, that you let him be your boss. When you
do this you will truly get to know him better.
Jesus is ready to grant you forgiveness and eternal life. He will when you stop trusting your own way and trust in him alone. Is there
anything keeping you from trusting Christ? There is nothing more important than this. Would you like to pray right now and tell God
that you have decided to trust Christ?
"Dear God, I know I am a sinner and that I deserve to be punished. I know that Jesus died for me and rose again. I trust him alone to
grant me forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. Thank you, amen."
If you can truly say these things for the first time, then today is your spiritual birthday! Just like physical births, spiritual births are just
the beginning. I would suggest that you find a Bible preaching church in your area, and get associated with it, and other believers!
