The Omaha Alumnae Panhellenic Association
was formed during the 1930's as the Omaha City Panhellenic Association. The Omaha City Panhellenic Association joined the National Panhellenic Conference in 1952. The current name was adopted in the mid 1970's.
The National Panhellenic Conference Centennial Endowment Fund was established to provide on-going support for programs which encourage sorority women to strive academically, to develop leadership capabilities, and to develop the skills necessary to address risk management issues. The Omaha Alumnae Panhellenic Association (OAPA) became a charter member of this endowment with a $1000 donation in 2002.
This year, the Omaha Alumnae Panhellenic Association presented over $2000 in gifts and scholarships to women from this area. Nationally, local Panhellenic associations presented $415,550 in scholarships to 483 women.
