Onan Maintenance

After verifying that fuel was in fact getting to the carburetor on the Onan, disassembly was required to find out what was stopped up. Further analysis determined that the fuel line between the fuel pump and the carburetor bowl was deteriorating, with the lining of the hose breaking up and sloughing off. The following photographs are virtually self-explanatory, if you understand the general problem, and virtually impossible to explain if you don't! Enjoy!

With the input "el" removed, you can clearly see the "trash" on top of the needle valve seat.

The carburetor pieces.

Stoppee and stopper details.

Trash in the bowl.

Replacement and replacee.

The fix in place. As a side comment, I still ended up having to replace the fuel pump, shown here on the left, before I got complete resolution of the problem!
