Oceana Naval Base Summer Swim Team

 
 The Oceana Man-O-War swim team is a competitive swim program and one of the 24 teams in the Virginia Beach Swim League (VBSL). The team operates out of the Oceana Navy Base and is open to military families (active or retired, DOD, contractor, or families with base access).

The team consists of children ranging from 4-18 and will teach any level of swimmer the skills and techniques needed in the water. Previous competitive swim experience is not required.

Practice starts the week after Memorial Day and will run through the end of July.

Practice Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Nights.

Meets

Oceana will run meets once school gets out and will be run in association with the VBSL. They will have a Time Trial meet (only Oceana swimming) on 6/14 and then there will be 5 regular season dual meets and two Championship meets running every week on Saturday mornings.

Registration

Signups for the swim team will start in the beginning of May. We will have official sign ups May 3 and May 10 from 12-3pm at the Officer's Club pool at Oceana. This will be where you can register your kids , meet the coaches, try on and order team suits and other apparel.
