The mission of the National Audubon Society is "to conserve and restore natural
ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife for the benefit of humanity and
the earth's biological diversity." The Ocmulgee Audubon Society (OAS) is one of the
508 Audubon chapters in the Americas that share a similar mission.

OAS MeetingsThe OAS meets the second Monday of every month (except July) at 7:30
pm. Meetings are held in the auditorium of the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences, 4182
Forsyth Road, Macon, Georgia and they are open to the public. Visitors are
welcome to attend. |
OAS Field Trips Field trips are usually scheduled for the Saturday after the monthly meeting. You don't have to be an
experienced birder to go on one of these field trips.
Non-members and novices are always welcome to attend.
Bring your binoculars and field guide(s) and whatever other gear is seasonally
appropriate (e.g., bug spray, sunscreen, trailworthy shoes or boots, etc.). |
