c. 1860 – S.R.F. moves from West England to London: the Home of the Martin family, 1 St. Paul’s Chyd.
c. 1875 – The S.R.F. has essays on models for the Greek form of the Setting of the Wards of Power.
1897 – George Stanton & Charles Kingold formally constitute the Order Aurum Solis with the intention “to re-establish the Wisdom of the Mages and to proclaim anew the Secrets of the Alchemists.” Stanton is the Order’s first Warden (Grand Master) until WWI.
1914 – WWI begins, Order activity ceases for a time.
1918 – WWI ends.
c. 1930 – Rabbi Morris Greenberg dies in Bournemouth.
1939 – WWII begins.
1945 – WWII ends.
1949 – The Order resumes activity and is reorganized.
1956 – Order reviews ritual workings and concludes that Masonic-type rituals are not suited to a practicing magical Order
1957 – The supporters of the more modern Masonic-type workings split to form the Ordo Sacri Verbi, the Order of the Sacred Word. The Aurum Solis completely reorganizes their ritual structure along its original lines.
1959 – Ernest Page, noted London astrologer and mentor of Leon Barcynski, becomes Warden of the OSV, and works for its reunion with the Aurum Solis.
1965 – AS begins to research & develop its four-fold Qabalistic color scales.
1966 – Ernest Page dies.
1968 – Vivian Godfrey invested Dame d'Honneur, OMCT, in 1968 by Geneva Grand Priory of the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple
1971 – The OSV is reunited with the AS in the original AS style of working.
c. 1971 – Vivian and Leon begin working with Carl Llewellyn Weschcke.
c. 1972 – The AS color scales are completed.
1974 – Book I of The Magical Philosophy, The Robe and the Ring, is published. Vivian & Leon are Adept Minores.
1975 – Books II and III of The Magical Philosophy, The Apparel of High Magick and The Sword & the Serpent, are published.
1976 – Vivian Godfrey becomes the first female Grand Master of the Aurum Solis.

early spring 2000 – The Companions of Lapis Lazuli Commandery leave the Order and resume their independent work.
April 2000 – The Commandery of the Winged Serpent conducts the initiation of its first members.

June 2000 – The Lapis Lazuli Commandery changes its name to the Commandery of the Black Rose at the request of the Grand Master.

late 2001 – Aurum Solis: Initiation ceremonies and inner magical techniques by Osborne Phillips is published by Thoth Publications.
January 2002 – The Commandery of the Crown of the North (U.K.), headed by Vivienne O’Regan, ceases operation.
February 2002 – The Commandery of the Black Rose (Toronto; Boston) ceases operation.
16 June 2002 – The Aurum Solis Publications Office is announced on the official Aurum Solis Magick e-mail list, and previously unpublished Order material, as well as other writings from D&P are made available for a time--including the Rite of Affirmation, and "The God Hunter," a short story.
26 July 2002 – The College of Thrones dissolves all North American Commanderies of Aurum Solis. The Grand Commandery of Athlit (U.K.) and the Commandery of the Light of Byzantium (France) are the only Commanderies to continue to operate under the name "Aurum Solis." Shortly after, the Commandery of the Winged Serpent is granted a charter of succession from the Grand Commandery, and incorporates a new order under the name "Ordo Astrum Sophiae," or "The Order of the Wisdom of the Star." The Commandery of the Green Lion is also granted a charter of succession, however it operates independently of the Astrum Sophia.
5 October 2002 – The Aurum Solis is reconstituted. The Tipharic Guild of Theosis (a small group focusing on the Christian mysteries whose membership comprised a select few from the Third Hall, before the succession of the American groups) is now the primary body of the order. The Aurum Solis is now an exclusively Christian order. However, the former Mysteries which comprise the focus of the main body of the old Order are continued within the Guild of Lapis Philosophorum.
14 June 2003 – Leon Barcynski retires as the Grand Master of
Aurum Solis. He is replaced by Julianus-Hekatyfy, former Prior and
Associate
Grand Master as well as Master of the Commandery of the Light of
Byzantium.
Accordingly, the Grand Commandery of Aurum Solis is relocated from the
United Kingdom to France. Shortly afterward, Julianus issues a
declaration
which re-emphasizes the scientific, evolving, yet inherently Hermetic
nature
of the Order Aurum Solis and the work of the Ogdoadic Tradition. No
mention
of Christianity is found in the declaration.
1 January 2004 –
The Commandery of the Green Lion is reintegrated with the Aurum Solis.
May 2004 – The Ordo
Astrum Sophiae is reintegrated with the Aurum Solis.
June 2004 – The House of the Green Lion withdraws from the Order Aurum Solis. Some members retain their membership.
October 2004 – The
Aurum Solis announces plans for the "Outer Courses of the Ogdoadic
Tradition," a monthly correspondence course open to the general public.
21 December 2004 –
The Astrum Sophia is reestablished with the Commandery of the Winged
Serpent as the Grand Commandery, again separating from the Order Aurum
Solis. According to Grand Master William Stoltz, "This separation arose
from philosophical differences, and did not stem from or result in
conflict between the two Orders. The Adepts of the Winged Serpent
decided it could best serve its own members, and the Tradition as a
whole, by reinstituting the Astrum Sophia."
December 2004 / January
2005 – The Grand Master of the Aurum Solis, Julianus-Hekatyfy,
relocates from France to Canada.
23 January 2005 – The House of the Green Lion joins the Ordo Astrum Sophiae as a full and autonomous commandery with Tom Worrel as its Master.
February 2005 – The
Aurum Solis makes its "Outer Courses of the Ogdoadic Tradition"
available in French. The correspondence course consists of four
one-year modules of 12 booklets each. The cost is $100 (Canadian) per
module.
12 February 2005 –
Norman Kraft announces the re-formation of the Lapis Lazuli Circle on his website, based
out of Salem, MA. The circle is to be an independent Ogdoadic working
group.
