CHARTER

OF THE

OCEAN HILLS                   Racquet                                  CLUB

 

 

1.      Name and Organization. The name of this club is  OCEAN  HILLS

       Racquet                           CLUB (the Club).

It is a component of Ocean Hills Social Clubs (the Corporation), a non-       profit mutual benefit corporation of the State of California (Federal Tax Identification #33-0383009).  The Club has been sanctioned by the Ocean Hills Country Club Homeowners Association (the Association).

 

2.      Membership. Membership in the Club is restricted to residents of Leisure Village Ocean Hills. Membership shall be open to all such residents subject only to the payment of dues set by the Club's Board of Directors.

 

3.      Function and Purpose. The Club shall assist the Corporation in serving the recreational, entertainment, and educational needs of the community of Leisure Village Ocean Hills. Specifically, the purpose of the Club will be:

 

                         to develop and encourage tennis, paddle tennis and table tennis.

 

4.      Funds. The Club shall abide by the limitations on funds and assets prescribed by the Corporation/Association.

 

5.      Capital Expenditures. Purchase of property of equipment that costs in excess of $1,000 shall be reported to the Board of Directors of the Ocean Hills Country Club Homeowners Association, and all property so acquired shall be the property of the Association.

 

6.      Reports and Returns. The Club shall make such reports of its assets, liabilities, receipts, and disbursements, and such other data pertaining to its operations, as are prescribed by the Corpo ration; it shall assist the Corporation's accountants and auditors in the submission of data for tax returns and financial reports; and it shall remit to the Corporation. any taxes that may become payable by reason of its activities and its pro rata share, determined by the Corporation of expenses incurred in the preparation and processing of the foregoing.
