About OCF

The Oklahoma Chess Foundation is the USCF's first Silver Affiliate and a Silver Benefactor in the USCF Patron Program. The Oklahoma Chess Foundation is a privately funded, non-profit organization and is dedicated to promoting chess in Oklahoma by providing a high quality, competitive tournament experience for all of our chess playing members.

The OCF, sponsored by Frank K Berry, organized the official U.S. Chess Championships in both 2007 and 2008. Frank Berry was awarded USCF Tournament Director of the year in 2008. Another honor was captured by Tom Braunlich who was awarded USCF Organizer for 2008. Thanks to these individuals, and OCF's efforts, Stillwater was voted USCF's Chess City of the Year in 2007 and Tulsa, in 2008.

Our mission is to raise the competitive caliber of every Oklahoma chess player. To that end, we encourage all resident Oklahoma players and non-residents alike to participate in our tournaments. We provide both USCF and FIDE rated events which will often include well known, top-rated, national and internationally recognized players.

If you are serious about your chess, then we are dedicated to providing you with the right tournament environment to test your skills and improve your game. Come join us !
