TO: OPC Teenagers from OPC Grounds Committee               Date: Sept 20, 2006

The Olde Port Cove Grounds Committee invites the teenagers of the neighborhood (approximate ages 12 – 20, with parental consent) to submit their names via email to Oldeportcove@hotmail.com if they desire to help water, weed, prune, plant or provide general landscape maintenance to Olde Port Cove’s common areas. Prospective workers are encouraged to indicate which jobs they are interested in and which jobs they want to avoid (e.g. “Desire to weed and water, but do not want to mulch, prune or plant”). All workers will be paid $7.00/hour.

Once names are collected, individuals will be contacted in alphabetical order (or some other fair and impartial system) and offered the opportunity to work during a weekend or weeknight at a specified task, generally supervised by a Grounds Committee Member.

Once the list has been run through one time the committee will start at the top again and continue until funds are exhausted or the work is complete for that year. All reasonable efforts will be made to ensure the teens that sign up will have an opportunity to work and earn an equal part of the funds available.  The committee envisions that there will be periods available for work during one, to possibly two, weekends a month.

Please submit your name so the  list can be compiled. Teens are welcome to join and be added to the list at any time in the future.  If you don’t have access to a computer, call Dave Richwine at Ph. 659-0254.

Teens working for the Grounds Committee must have their parent/guardian sign a Landscaping Permission Slip:
