Once your part is cleaned off it is now time to start buffing the base metal to give a high shine when you apply the final chrome. This is accomplished in steps, starting with the coarsest grits and progressing to the finest. This will bring the metal to a almost perfect finish. Here is where you must take your time, or you will be filling with a lot of copper plate or have scratches and divots on your finished piece.

Remeber........if you have imperfections in your part they will not be covered by the chrome......they will be magnified!!

In order to simplify and allow me to concentrate on other areas the web site, I have chosen to simply place links to buffing sites here.

I didn't want to repeat what is already on the Internet, so here are some good links for Buffing and polishing metal.
