The
jewel of the Arizona desert....The apple of my eye...The crown of
Peoria.... My ultimate project...(my ultimate frustration!!) Well..I
got this car for 300.00. Found the 50 Buick bumper for 50 bucks and
proceeded to start dreaming. Im still looking for the roof. Or the
guy who cut it out so I can ask him what happened to his mind at that
time!! The nice thing is yes its dented, but, it is all solid metal.
Not really any rust to speak of.I figure my body shop skills will be
fairly well honed by the time this one is done. I have a 425
nailhead for a power plant and will probably go with a late 70s GM
sub-frame and rear end. I love the sedanette look. It looks like a
chop top from the factory. If anyone wants to sell or donate a roof to
save a peice of american history let me know!I think I will also
tub the rear and put 12" tires in the rear.It will also get air bag
suspension. I am going to try and put air conditioning in the
front and rear. You just cant have to much cool air here in Arizona
in the summer. There will be some nice little oddities that I am
going to do to it. I am revamping the hood ornament and side mirrors.
I will cast these parts and put the pictures on the page. This car is
still a few years out from being worked on in earnest. But as I
progress I will post.
