Roanoke's Norfolk &
Western Union Station as it originally looked (Before the Raymond
Loewy remodeling in the '40s).

Colonial Bank & Trust Co. (The Terry building.). Located at the corner of Campbell & Jefferson Streets. Surprisingly, this building only stood for 34 years before being demolished. Reportedly, this building featured Roanoke's first elevator.

Roanoke Hospital
(predecessor to Roanoke Memorial) & the Mill Mountain Incline
(built in 1910). The Incline would close in 1928, partially due to
the construction of a concrete road to the top of the mountain.
Originally, this road carried a toll equal to the cost of the incline
trip.
Garst Bros. dairy on Salem Ave. Once the largest home delivery dairy in Roanoke with its familiar white and blue trucks. Advertised as "Roanoke's most modern dairy".
