Each new volunteer should attend one session to receive orientation on Coalition goals, standards and expectations for the coming tax year. Volunteers can then also begin to discern their particular role as tax preparer or administrative assistant. Returning volunteers need not attend a session. All sessions will be held at the Old South Omaha City Hall 5002 S 24^th St (24^th & O St) in the conference room at the O St Entrance.

Attend a training course

All volunteers (new and returning) will take this redesigned tax law course integrated with TaxWise training. The course spans 50 hours in 35 lessons with plenty of practical experiences to prepare volunteers for that to expect at the tax sites. An additional focus will be in the standards and expectations of the Coalition for effective sites and meaningful service. A one session in the course will treat each State training for Iowa and Nebraska.
