Steak Houses
Johnny's Italian Steakhouse
168th & Dodge (Village Pointe).   (Not to be confused with the hometown Johnny's Steakhouse, which is terrible).  This is an out-of-state chain that serves incredibly tender & juicy steaks.  Italian dishes served as well.  Somewhat expensive for what you get.  Hint:  If it's nice out, ask to be seated outside in view of the cute waiters at Kona Grill across the way.

Outback Steak House
76th & Cass, 132nd & Center (1 block north).  A national chain that has pretty good food.

Texas Roadhouse
156th & Dodge.   If you can get past the cheesy (but fun) Texas atmosphere, you'll have a pretty good meal.   Good selection of salads, steaks, ribs & country dinners.   www.texasroadhouse.com    Hint:  The ribs are pretty damn good.

Pizza
Pizza Shoppe

60th & Maple.  This small chain based in Kansas City has excellent thin crust pizza.  556-9090.

Cici's Pizza Buffet
346 N. Saddle Creek, 3205 Oak View Drive.   At $4.49 per person all day long (plus extra for a soft drink), you can't complain.  Not the best pizza, but a huge selection.  Good salad bar.  Very good cheesebread & cinnamon rolls.   Hint:  Load up on the tomato sauce & soak it up with your pizza crust.  Also, be prepared to be screamed at when you walk in.  They scream "Welcome to Cici's!" -- very annoying.

Other
Famous Dave's BBQ
17330 West Center Road, 11th & Harney (Old Market), 71st & Ames, and Hwy 75 & Cornhusker (Bellevue). A national chain that is hitting it big in Omaha. Great selection of sauces. Corny atmosphere.

Olive Garden
75th & Dodge -- 168th & Center. You must have heard of this national chain.

Kona Grill
Village Pointe, 168th & Dodge.  Very good menu selection from Japanese fusion, Pizza, salads, Thai.   We will commence referring to all waiters as "Dieter" and waitresses as "Dietra" since they wear all black.

Cheesecake Factory
Westroads Mall, South Parking Lot.

The Melting Pot
Village Pointe, 168th & West Dodge Road
