Brother of the Month :
The brother of the month for May, was difficult to come up with, should it be another past Master or a newer brother, I thought it was time to say a few words about one of our newer brothers, Chris Edwards.
Chris started his time with masonry going through the one day January 21, 2006, he jumped right in with both feet, joining the Shrine the same day. Chris is a brother that has not learned how to say ‘no’, that is a good thing for us, he has sat in a couple of chairs in Capitol Lodge and now s
its in the Junior Warden chair. That will teach him never again to miss a meeting when we vote for the officers for next year, you see, last year he was not present and he was voted into the Junior Warden chair, when he was called to accept the position he did thinking it was Junior Deacon! First time practicing he was ready for the Junior Deacon, everything memorized! We explained the difference; he has done well as the Junior Warden.
As a Shriner, Chris has helped out the organization, joined the Clown Unit, I won’t make a comment about that, not at this time. His clown name is Bitz, he’ll have to explain that to you.
Speaking of Chris not saying no, he entered the Scottish Rite in February of 2006 as a life member, joined the Knights of Saint Andrews and presently serving as Senior Warden, also on the 29th Degree team as Bailiff.
Now comes the York Rite, February 2008 a Royal Arch Mason, soon to be installed as Master of the 3rd Vail on May 3, 2008, also Knights Templar, March of 2008.
I don’t know where he has time, but Chris works for Alegent Health as an Exchange Administrator.
I could go on and on about Chris personally, his family and hobbies but I’m out of space, will have to wait until next time.
I appreciate Chris’ time and dedication to Masonry and other pendant bodies, I don’t know how we could get along without his assistance. Next time you see Chris thank him for his time and dedication to Capitol Lodge #3.
