CT Youth Workshop
About Us
The youth workshop focuses on a
multi-faith, multi-cultural approach for youth
mentorship and virtues building through various age
appropriate, hands-on
activities and projects.
These program themes are collaborated on and expressed
through the use of numerous performing arts platforms
such as dance, drama,
drumming, devotions, art, songs and games. The focus is on the gifts and
talents of the youth as opposed to their
needs and problems.
The members are students from grades
3 through 10 who represent a variety
of cultural, religious and racial
backgrounds from around the state.
Previous theatre, dance or art training is not a prerequisite to partake
in this program. In
fact, it is the youth’s spirit and energy that provides
the insights and solutions to
many of the critical issues that challenge today’s
youth.
We are
participants from around the state who recognize the importance of donating
our time, talents and energies. By providing our support for the youth, we
realize that
volunteer efforts are the primary builders of
community. The CTYW invites and
encourages your involvement in this endeavor.
This one of a kind youth program addresses and awakens individuals to
celebrate and embrace unity in diversity of various cultures and faiths
represented in their communities and in the world at large.
