CT Youth Workshop

            Service

Let your vision be world embracing rather than confined to your own self...

þ Youth Workshop Week (August 11-15, 2003) was developed and co-hosted by the Local Spiritual Assembly (LSA) of Hartford and The CT Youth Workshop.  This 5 day program is devoted to fellowship and the performing arts for youth around the state.

We look forward to Youth Workshop Week 2004!  Volunteer service in any capacity is always greatly appreciated.  As space is limited, please inform us as soon as humanly possible if you are interested in enrolling your youth in this program or volunteering your time for this program.  Please stay tuned for more information about this upcoming event, including fee schedule and itinerary.

With love and respect,

The Youth Workshop Week Planning Committee

þ The Connecticut Bahá’í Chorale and the CT Bahá’í Youth Workshop offered a concert on Sunday, January 25, 2004, at 3PM at the First Congregational Church of Vernon.  The CT Bahai Chorale inspired the congregation with selections ranging from the Bahai faith writings, such as Blessed Is The Spot and O Thou Compassionate Lord to Spirituals like How Great Thou Art and Done Made My Vow To The Lord, a traditional round, O Lord I Adore Thee, in addition to the South African Freedom Song Siyahamba and music by Mozart, All Praise Be To Thee.

The CT Youth Workshop performed lyrical movement and singing to modern compositions Color Me Human (text and music by Eric Dozier) and One World (text and music by Lory Lazarus) as well as a traditional spiritual This Little Light of Mine.

þ Stay tuned for future service projects, events and performances…
