Joe's Saltwater Fishing Home Page
Saltwater fishing from the Chesapeake Bay, Outer Banks, and Gulf Stream.
My fishing buddies and me fish the Chesapeake Bay year round for all species from Flounder to Striped Bass. In the summer it is time for big flounder. We usually fish for these big flatties with live bait, croaker mostly that we catch coming out of Lynnhaven Inlet. If the bite is 'on' then three or four 5 - 6 pound flounder are not unheard of. Some days it can be a bit slow but when they are thick there is nothing funner than to drift through a 'pod' of flounder where everybody hooks up to a 5 pound flatfish. To see 2 or 3 flounder flapping in the bottom of the boat is quite a site. When fall weather sets in it is time for Speckle Trout fishing in the inlets and after that it is time for Striper fishing off the coast of Virginia Beach.
