We do occasionally take in birds that you can no longer care for. We do not discriminate nor do we turn you away if you have finches, tiels, or smaller birds. We do not pay RANSOM fee's for birds- we do not believe in it nor do we 'ask for free birds' in any open forum nor newspaper - We know there is truley no such thing. We will come to you to take possesion of your birds if you are local to us within 50 miles.

**Before you consider giving up your bird please feel free to ask us for help. We advocate birds staying in thier homes if possible. We can help you learn more about your feathered friend which includes handling, stress, resocialization and other information.**

We do require you sign a legally binding release agreement. (if you would like to give up ownership of your bird please print and bring with you or present when we show up to take ownership- we will bring a copy if this is not applicable or you are not able to do so)

If the bird requires medical attention immediately or if your bird has been exposed to any known birdie diseases we need to know before you sign the release- EXPOSURE or Medical need do not automatically disqualify you from our assistance -However there can be up to a 3 day waiting period before we can get them vet checked so we need to know immediately in order to schedule an emergency vet appointment. We must ask some questions in order to understand what your bird is used to  ie: environment , cage , other birds/animals in the home, diet etc- though our quaranteen area is seperate from our bird area we will have to have your birds vet checked and disease checked before we can introduce them into our flock or get them to one of our rescue partners.

If you decide you would like to take possession back of your bird - you must cover our costs for vet checks, disease checks and care- in signing our release agreement you are accepting these terms. We will provide reciepts to prove thier care. You are welcome to call about your bird and check on thier progress.

We  have had experience with birds as small as finches to as big as macaws. We are trained in basic bird first aid, relationship building, retraining bitters and screamers and socialization.Everyone is experienced in dispensing medication and handfeeding as well as wing and nail clipping. We have a wonderful fully qualified Avian Vet within 10 minutes of our home.

If we do not have the room to personally take in your bird we will place them in another trusted rescue facility after they are properly vet checked. You will , if you desire, have access to check on your bird then. All of our affilate rescue's agree to abide by our terms.

Your bird will stay in our care (or an affiliate rescue) for 3 months time, if you decide not to retake ownership we reserve the right to find your bird a new home that is appropriate for them. We will preform a personal home visit before we release your bird into his/her new home and verify the new owners have access to to proper bird care, recipies, toys and caging requirements and an avian vet in thier area.

Currently we have no rescue's for adoption. We do require you fill out an application, which does include references and local avian vet that we can contact to verify the bird is getting proper care.

There is an adoption fee - please do not ask us for 'free birds' we frown upon that . There is no such thing as a free bird- all of our adoptions are done with the utmost care which includes a home inspection visit. Alot of our rescue birds have medical issues - and in accepting them you are agreeing to NOT breed them , and providing the medical care they need. We will reclaim birds that have been adopted out if we find our terms have been violated. Signature on our adoption agreement signifies you understand and agree to these terms.
