25TH ANNIVERSARY DAYTONA

PACE CAR REPLICA

Took awhile, but here's another update on the progress of my Pace Car!

The radio that came with the car didn't work and I got tired of singing to myself...  I really didn't want to spend lots of bucks on the sound system at this stage, so I checked out Wal-Mart and found a cheapo AM-FM Cassette, radio mounting adaptor, wire plug adaptor, and a manual antenna all for less than $50 total.  Now I have tunes while I drive, and I didn't set my budget back too far at this early stage.

My wife bought me a windshield for my birthday.  New windshield installed for less than $165 from Triumph Auto Glass.  They even came to our driveway to install it!

I installed an $18 hood insulation since there wasn't any when I bought the car.  Not sure exactly what it does besides protect the hood paint, but at $18 it fit nicely into my (low) budget!

The engine compartment as it currently is.  More pics on the next page!
