25TH ANNIVERSARY DAYTONA

PACE CAR REPLICA

Just received a set of 1983 Trans Am aluminum wheels.  These are the N24 wheels and were a $325 option on Firebirds, a no-charge option on Trans Ams.  They were optional (in silver) for the Daytona Pace Car.

The regular T/As had gold spokes like these.  To get the exterior looking like a Daytona Pace Car, I'll need to repaint these.

I'll also need to clean off years of brake residue before painting.   The wheel on the right has been scrubbed with wheel cleaner five times!  That brake residue stuff is tenacious...

The fronts have been kept clean.  Not much difference between the one I cleaned (on the right again) and one straight out of the shipping box.

Another recent acquisition - some aftermarket center caps.  Now all I need are the lug nuts & locks!

I've also acquired "new" window regulators (with motors).   My motors are fine, but my regulator rollers are shot.  I'll clean these up and install them when I do the doors.
