Jeff and Shelley's Wedding

On September 26, 1998, pigs flew! Well, actually, my good friend Jeff, who was a confirmed bachelor-for-life only 3 years ago, married Shelley. What can I say about Shelley? Well, aside from the obvious lack of judgement in marrying Jeff <grin>, she's a great gal. Anyway, Jeff and Shelley, being the unconventional type, decided that if they were going to take the plunge, they might as well do it from the top of a tall building. So, they gathered up their friends and family and invited them out to celebrate on the roof of a hotel in downtown San Diego.

Of course, this being a party, we downed some brewskis before the ceremony. Here we have Glenn and Bruce drinking, Jill looking lovely as always, and Burger sleeping on the job. (Maybe Boog had too many brewskis already.)

After we drank some, (and caught up on old times with perfect strangers), Jeff and Shelley made their entrance. And, just as the sun set in the background, the ceremony began. The ceremony was very nice - even Sherm behaved himself, and before we knew it, Jeff and Shelley were a happily married couple... and Jeff could finally take advantage of those tax deductions his accountant had told him about!! <grin>.

After the ceremony and after lots of drinking, dancing, and fun, the guys wanted to take a group picture. All of us have known each other at least since high school (some even longer), but this was the first time in a long time that all of us had been together. Hmmm, where's Jeff we wondered? Well, as we decided that this was now a "mission", nothing would stop us from finding Jeff. Of course, it didn't take long to find Jeff - never let it be said that we would leave any stone unturned (or bathroom unchecked). Once we took the obligatory photo of Jeff on the throne, we all gathered for the more appropriate group photo!

For the uninitiated -- In the first picture, the guys are, from left to right, me, Jon, Bruce, Jeff (head and sneakers), Boog (just his head), Jafo, Joe, and James. In the more official looking photo -- (back row) Jafo, John (just the top of his head, again), Jon; (middle) me, Jeff, Sherm (Jeff's dad), James; (front) Bruce, Joe, and Glenn.
