Gene Leahy Mall - Downtown Omaha

We live in a loft condo in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, USA, having moved here from San Francisco in 1992. The picture above was taken one block south of our home. We have lived in San Diego, Boston, Tokyo, and Los Angeles, plus a few other places. Bob is a retired Navy officer who specialized in ship repair and modernization. He has an engineering degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduate degrees in engineering and management from MIT. He works part time at Iowa Western Community College in the Continuing Education Department. Jan works part time in the benefits department at UNMC and as  keyboard musician for King of Kings, a very large, contemporary Lutheran church in Omaha.

We have two daughters. One is a graduate of Universities of California at San Diego and Nebraska at Omaha. She lives in Omaha with her husband and 3 children. The younger daughter is a graduate of UNL and UNMC, is married, and is doing a fellowship in pediatric intensive care at the children's hospital in Little Rock.
