The Wiggles TV Shows Seasons

There are (so far) four seasons of the Wiggles television shows. In the TV guide they are all called "The Wiggles", but in the show they seem to each have their own name:
The Wiggles Season 1 (1998) Wiggles World Season 2 (1999) Lights Camera Action Wiggles! Season 3 (2002) The Wiggles Show! Season 4 (2005) Seasons 1 and 2 are similar in format and style, both occurring in Wiggle Town, with a mix of skits and songs centered around a storyline. The characters act like they're supposed to (Henry the Octopus lives in the ocean, and leads a band, and does octopus things, Captain Feathersword is actually a pirate captain, has a crew, goes on treasure hunts with his faithful dog Wags, etc.). There are 13 episodes from Season 1, and 26 episodes from Season 2. I believe I have cataloged all the shows from the first two seasons here. The style of the two seasons are a bit different, but not drastically so.

Season 1, I'm calling "The Wiggles". It's opening credits background music is the "Get Ready to Wiggle" song. Each episode includes these segments:

Season 1 closing credits are people running along various sections of beach or park.
Season 1 and 2 Songs

Season 2, I'm calling "Wiggles World", named after the title song which accompanies a computer generated world where the view flies around town showing each character dancing in their home to the song. The show uses computer graphics much more extensively than the first season. There aren't specific segments that always appear, but the following locales are common.

Season 2 closing credits are the group standing in a bunch waving.
Season 1 and 2 Songs
Season 3 is radically different. It follows a strict sequence of segments, primarily alternating a song with a regular feature. They also include songs, but no skits or story of the style seen in the earlier seasons. The characters loose nearly all their individual characteristics, and become just actors on a TV show (Henry doesn't go anywhere near the water, and just sings and dances with everyone else; Captain Feathersword is a weatherman, and makes funny noises when the buttons on his vest are pushed, etc.). The songs played are a mix of studio productions, with kids running cameras in the foreground, and outside performances at Wiggle Bay.

Season 3 closing credits are played over the last song, and a brief skit saying goodbye.
Season 3 Songs

Season 4 gets rid of the TV production theme, and goes to a rapid-fire series of skits and songs with short intros between them with the characters standing in front of a sign and announcing what the song will be. The skits all fit into the following formats: The rest of the show is random song clips of studio, concert, outdoors, or animated format.

Season 4 closing credits are sped by along the bottom over a brief skit with everyone in a group saying goodbye. Someone usually is missing and comes in at the end.

Notes

My son, about age one as of this writing, is a big fan of The Wiggles. Most every morning he gets to watch an episode of Wiggles World, as it makes him happy and gives mommy or daddy a 20 minute rest from keeping up with him. I've been watching these shows for about 6 months, and find that the songs and skits are very addictive. I want to learn all the songs and dances so that when a song gets stuck in my head, at least I'll get it right, and not just one catchy line.

To solve this problem, I've started to have my ReplayTV record every episode and copy them up to the computer with DVArchive. I've run through the episodes and made lists of what songs are in which episodes, so if I get a song stuck in my head, I can play a show that has it and thus free myself to get stuck on something different.

I've looked online for Wiggles resources, lyrics, episode guides, etc. but have not found a good reference for this series. This webpage is my place to put everything other mommies and daddies need to get their own Wiggles fix taken care of.

Note that for now, I'm focusing on what I'm calling The Wiggles and Wiggles World episodes. There is also something called Lights, Camera, Action, Wiggles (or Network Wiggles), but which didn't appeal to my son as much, so I did not consider those here (yet). Since the TV guide calls all these shows The Wiggles, I don't know if there is an official name for these different shows. [The Wiggles website seems to refer to these shows as "Wiggles-The Series" vs. "Lights, Camera, Action, Wiggles!", but not consistantly.] There are also a bunch of videos released that I am not looking at here. I would recommend Wiggly Play Time for fans of this series as it is a collection of the following three episodes: History, Family, and Play.
