Freedom of Speech

Our Constitution grants me speech
that's free... or so they falsely preach.

Yet, I can't say what's on my mind
or tell the truth, for soon I find,
a libel suit's not far behind.

Be wise, and keep my bias quiet
lest  I start some sort of riot
leading to a prisoner's diet.

Big Brother keeps me well informed...
on selected topics that are lukewarm
no need for burden or forlorn.

I'll keep my thoughts and hands close to my chest
in order to avoid arrest.
