Perpetuating the Lie

Dear Virginia, 

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus....NOT.

Although your parents and the capitalists that run our country have perpetuated this myth for decades, in order to exponentially increase sales thereby allowing commercialism and capitalism to gain unbounded control, there is no portly man, dressed in red, with a long white beard who lives in the North Pole and drives a sleigh pulled by reindeer to deliver presents to kids all across the world overnight once a year.  HELLO, Virginia!  Be real!

This may come as a shock to you, Virginia, but let me assure you that the reason your parents are in on this devious plot, the plot to continue this myth, or lie if you please, is to teach you a three-fold lesson.

1.  Learn to "Trust no one".

2.  The longer that parents can get their children to believe in this character the longer the parents maintain control over the child's behavior.

3.  Learn not to be so goddamn gullible.

So, Virginia, stop your whining, get on with your life... but watch your back.  Oh, and by the way let me save you the cost of another stamp... there is no Easter Bunny either!
