Perpetually Transforming Panoramic Masterpiece

I open the front door
the sun rising above the horizon spills shades of purple and orange across the sky
and the half moon fades taking her leave of absence

I open the front door
the constellations twinkle against the blackened sky on this cloudless evening
moon beams dance playfully upon the rippling ocean surface
rough waves pound the shore creating a thunderous vibration

I open the front door
after a short summer shower
a rainbow stretches across the sky and dips into the ocean

I open the front door
the rising sun paints the sky a baby boy blue and little girl pink
a flock of gulls soar to scavenge the offerings from the incoming tide
a pair of swans noisily fly overhead

I open the front door
the pink and white beach rose blossoms randomly scatter the surrounding bushes
I inhale the fragrance and fall in love with life

I open the front door
sun worshippers are sprawled across the beach
umbrellas of red and blue and yellow dot the shore
the lifeguard intermittently blows his whistle to keep everyone in line

I open the front door
the foliage is dying - the kites are flying
a v-shaped flock of geese honk loudly as they fly overhead
the monarch butterflies stop briefly on goldenrod as they migrate south

I open the front door
silhouetted by the evening setting sun
several fishermen enjoy their favorite sport
riders on horseback enjoy a leisurely trot along the shore
sun ray beams break through the evening clouds

I open the front door
a winter wonderland of white stretches to the ocean
paw prints from bunnies, fox, cats and dogs are the only signs of life

I open the front door
the full round moon against the dark blue sky resembles the host given out at mass
and the sun sets to take his leave of absence
