Public Speaking

My thoughts are jumbled, my speech is mumbled.
My tongue is as unwilling to cooperate as a dog who needs a bath.
I stammer, I sweat, I stutter.
My words are trapped inside.
To release and express myself, I write, in solitude.
No audience to please.
A blank, white sheet of paper
allows a gushing release of my viewpoint, thoughts, and ideas.
