Sharing a Moment with Mother Nature

The high-pitched trill of the red-winged blackbird
highlights the symphony being played by the various
feathered-friends gathered around the bird feeders
which were provided for their pleasure as well as for mine.

A blackbird splatters and splashes and flutters its wings
while perched on the edge of the bird bath.
The deep cooing sound from a mourning dove while it pursues its mate
reminds me of the foghorn-like sound produced by blowing into an empty bottle
an act I eagerly enjoyed as a child.

A pair of house finch stop on occasion to share a kiss;
an elusive yellow warbler quickly glides stealthily from one bush to the next.
Three young sibling bunnies forage on the low grass.
In the distance, the rhythmic crash of the waves against the shore
provides the background music to yet another of nature's memorable magical moments.
