Papillion Lodge #39
Lodge News-Great turnout and donations for the scholarship fundraiser! Thanks to everyone for making it a success. Membership- We will be doing Master Mason degrees on Sept. 25 th and Oct 6. Please come and support these events. We will be testing for our degree proficiency on Oct 16th EA/FC and 24th MM. All hands are needed-please come and support the effort. The proficiency isn't a feather in my cap-it is something for the whole lodge to achieve. New Membership Goal-We needed 30 new members-minimally this year. We have 18 still to go and we are getting into the last quarter. This is a yearly goal and keeps growing.-without new blood, we will disappear . With out a program and purpose, people will not attend. Think about this and bring your ideas to the Year End Dinner Meeting-December Business Meeting. As my year comes to a close, I wanted to have Membership drive dinner and quick general meeting for our last business meeting. I personally invite and request the presence of every new brother we have raised in the last 3 years. Our new Master-Elect will want a chance to talk to you. The purpose would be to bring in new potential members; have some brothers come by that haven't in some time; let the new Master elect brief what the new year will bring, The dinner will be at no cost-donations only. Nothing wanted or required from potential new members either. I think this would be more appropriate than my original idea of a PMF Costume Halloween party on Sat., 27 th of Oct-which is cancelled. Bro. Jon Paz-one of our resident amateur chefs, will be the chairman for this event. Please support him. Please pay attention to the calendar, as the items of work I post for the lodge have happened as scheduled, and will continue to do so. There is no reason for any one not to know what is planned.
Fraternally, George Bolter, WM 2007

Bethel #53 Job's Daughter's
Bethel #53 has been busy the last month –September 8th was the Reception for the Grand Guardian, Shirley Carlson, and the Associate Grand Guardian, Phil Edwards. Since Phil was associated with our Bethel, Bethel #53 and #18 planned and held the reception at the West Omaha Masonic Temple. It was a great day and a good turn out. Some of the girls attended and had a good time at the DeMolay 'Back to School Bash'. Christina Bladow, Diana Lutz and Shirley DeVasure attended the Officers Workshop in Hastings. On September 24th, we have our Friendship Night and Majority Ceremony. On September 29, we are having a fun day at Mahoney State Park. The members and council sold Red Wheel products for our fundraiser for the VGG project. There were not too much sold, but every bit helps with our costs. October is not going to be any better --October 1 st is our Line Officer/Council Meeting. October 8th will be our night to honor the Masons and Eastern Star. We hope to have many of our Masonic family members attend. We start at 7 PM October 22 nd will be our Elections and visit by the Grand Deputy. Our Grand Deputy for this year is Amy Struebing, from Bethel #69. Some of us will be attending the Workshop at Camp Moses Merrill near North Bend on October 27 th and 28th. This will be the first time we have attended that camp in many years. Since there are fiver Monday's in October, we will be having our Halloween Party and Fun Night on October 29th. Our Grand Visitation will be November 12th. We would like for many of our Masonic family members to come and join us. Just let us know that you are coming, so we can plan accordingly.
