In order to understand who I am and what I'm trying to do here, we must first re-define several key issues:

Fact:
...is a detail of real events that can be verified through use of the 5 human senses: touch, taste, smell, sound and sight.

Fiction:
...is either a fabricated event or figurative representation of a real event, sometimes based on established facts, often used to educate, entertain or enlighten.

Society:
...is a group of people that are together for any period of time united by a common goal.

Those that make up a society do not necessarily share the same beliefs or background, they may in fact be in the same place for the sole purpose of conflicting with each other but are--for the most part--in the same place at the same time for the same reasons: wishing to accomplish the same goal(s).

Culture:
...is a group of people that may or may not live together or be in the same place but are united by common goals, beliefs or backgrounds.

Government:
...is any group or policy that unites a society.

Self-Governance means to be without the need for government.

Community:
...is a group of people that are united by culture.

Community Spirit is when a community is Self-Accountable and Self-Responsible.

Morals:
...are the ethical standards upon which any given society or culture is based. They are often what a group of people consider to be Crimes and Cares. Crimes being things that hurt them and Cares being the things that help them.

Traditions:
...are the rites, rituals and routines that any given society or culture uses to reinforce that culture's or that society's ethical standards.

A rite is the first time an individual or group of people undertake a routine, often accompanied by ceremony.

Routines are repetitive activities that keep life in order.

Ritual is the reinforcement of routine through ceremony or repetitiveness.

Ceremony is what adds a sense of importance to established routines.

Traditions are routines that are passed down from one generation to the next.

Laws:
...are written and documented facts that are used to establish a society's morals. They are the guidelines upon which a peaceful society is based, often enforced through punishment and/or reward.

Folklore:
...are fictional stories--either written or told--that a culture uses to establish their traditions and morals.

Politics:
...is the use of laws and the establishment of government in order to reach the goals of a society often accompanied by a hierarchy.

Hierarchy is when communities are placed into a specific order according to a set standard of rank.

Religion:
...is the use of traditions (often passed down from one generation to the next via mythology and folklore) in order to maintain and preserve one's culture.

When a religion outgrows a community through importance, dominance or population, it often requires the use of a hierarchy...and then starts to become more like politics. They get away from tradition and start to employ laws.

History:
...makes up the documented facts of a society or culture's past. Often written by the survivors of a conflict or successors of a challenge.

Mythology:
...makes up the documented morals and traditions of a culture. Often times, taking the form of an anthology of figures and events that are important to that culture.

Theater:
...is the use of oration, dramatization or re-enactment in order to present facts and fiction for the purposes of education, entertainment or enlightenment.

Ministry:
...is the use of oration, dramatization or re-enactment in order to present mythology and folklore for the purposes of education, entertainment, enlightenment and reinforcement of traditions.

Performance Art:
...is when an individual or group of people perform an act of Theater.

Shamanism:
...is when an individual or group of people perform an act of Ministry.

Following Fact gives us the 'bare bones' and details of a society's or culture's history.

Following Fiction gives us the perspective of someone who has lived through history.

If you can follow all of that...you're doing good.

But let's try going a little deeper...

A Dominant Paradigm:
...is any aspect of an environment that challenges the survival of a culture through conflict (obstacle), population (number) or strategy (intelligence).

When a paradigm is humanity, dominance often takes place through leadership and the establishment of morals, laws and traditions. These are often things within the realms of human control.

When a paradigm is nature, dominance often takes place through manipulations to the environment such as the weather, natural disasters, presence of animals, spreading of disease, changing of seasons and passage of time. These are often things that are not within human control.

Anarchy:
...is anything that protests (obstacle), usurps (overthrow), subverts (escape) or survives (withstand) the dominance of a paradigm.

Nurturing is the use of traditions in order to survive or subvert the dominance of a paradigm.

Education is the instruction and implementation of new traditions.

Enlightenment is the awareness of the need for new education.

Entertainment is the creative use of education within an environment of least restriction--often leading to enlightenment.

Anarchism:
...is the passive pursuit of anarchy, the lifestyle and philosophy of always subverting or surviving the dominance of a paradigm.

Discordianism being the lifestyle and philosophy of always usurping or protesting the dominance of a paradigm.

Whether anarchic or discordian, the effect and encouragement is still the same: self-governance, self-responsibility and self-accountability over that of conforming with the dominance of paradigm.

It is only that discordia tends to favor seeking out things to rebel against and anarchism tends to lean towards escape from it. They do, however, have a common enemy: that is, the dominance of a paradigm.

They simply choose to react differently to that dominance.

Rebellion:
...is the active pursuit of anarchy. It is anything an anarchist or group of anarchists does to protest, usurp, subvert or survive the dominance of a paradigm.

Thus united through rebellion against a common paradigm, discordianism and anarchism can combine complimentary tactics: Discordia creating distractions for anarchism to utilize through strategy. And anarchism creating a safe place for discordia to be put to good use.

This is why the skunk always makes friends with the fox.

Terrorism:  is an aggressive act of rebellion, when an anarchist or group of anarchists resorts to terror in order to enforce change.  These often take place as violent expressions of rebellion that result in social or cultural destruction.

War: is when more than one culture or society continues to clash through acts of terrorism.

Renaissance: is when more than one culture or society take part in a creative act of rebellion.  When a group of anarchic philosophers or artists decide to protest, usurp, subvert or survive the dominance of a paradigm.  These often result in peaceful or passive expressions of rebellion and societal or cultural growth.

Friars:
...were a fellowship of St. Francis, they walked the line between Organized Religion (Catholicism and Christianity) and Paganism.

Friars would often grant education and sacraments to people that the church (of the time) didn't feel deserved them.

They subverted their dominant paradigm (12th Century Roman Catholic Church) in order to educate and bring comfort to others. Often living in cities and taking refuge in woods, valleys and sanctuaries.

Satyrs:
...were a fellowship of Dionysus, they walked the line between society (Olympus) and anti-society (Arcadia).

Figuratively speaking, they were spirits of the woods and valleys, makers of wine, music and theater, responsible for mysterious sounds, visions and late-night revelry.

In reality, they were people who lived in the woods or on the outskirts who were sent (by Dionysus) into cities in order protest, subvert and usurp their dominant paradigm (Olympus) through art, music, theater and sacrament so that they could entertain, educate and bring comfort to others.

St. Francis used the Friars to teach the values of anarchism by giving people the knowledge and comfort they needed in order to survive the dominant paradigm.

Aristotle used the Satyrs to teach the values of anarchism by creating a peripatetic (wandering) school called the Lyceum.

Why is all of this necessary?

The dominant paradigm (government, society, politics, media) has been so dominant for so long that true Friars and true Satyrs (history's first Students of Anarchic Philosophy) haven't existed for a long, long time. Their teachings have been reduced to footnotes and lost to time among the works of mythology and folklore.

The only way we can get close to how these people thought, felt and acted is to re-define some things for ourselves so we can get a clear perspective of things to come.

This is what I feel governance and society has done to us: It has gotten us away from our core behaviors by distancing us from the importance of our traditions and has left us out of touch with our soul.

In the beginning, we were tribes of anarchists...

Before the establishment of society, we were wandering tribes of families united by culture. Our dominant paradigm was the environment and each other. We used tradition to survive these challenges and folklore/mythology to pass down those traditions.

Tribes eventually settled down into sedentary communities. As more communities came together they formed cities--which, out of necessity, formed governments--and they became societies divided by vast areas of No Man's Land (Neutral Territory).

Those who could not fit in with society (anti-societals) had the freedom to choose to live in No Man's Land. But as cities got bigger, Neutral Territory got smaller...

Society encroached upon the realm of the anti-societal triggering violence and rebellion.

This is how the anti-societal was born and how tribes became scattered. Yesterday's anti-societals became today's anarchists, punks, terrorists, criminals, rebels, drug dealers, prostitutes, street artists, homeless people and prisoners. They now share their status with children, animals and the elderly. Taking refuge in the ghetto, on the streets, and in our schools and retirement homes.

Forgotten, invisible and ignored.

Cast down to the lowest levels of hierarchies out of sheer resistance to conformity.

Enticy
...is not thinking for yourself. It is the intellectual equivalent of atrophy, which is when muscles get weaker due to lack of use.

Systemization
...makes life more convenient, removes challenges, thus taking away opportunities to learn and promotes the spread of enticy.

Self-Governance
...is always thinking for yourself and what is important to you. You learn to face your own challenges, surpass your own obstacles, and allow yourself to learn and grow.

Apathy
...is not caring enough to be responsible for yourself or other people.

Irresponsibility
...is making someone else responsible for you, promoting apathy.

Self-Responsibility
...is being responsible for yourself by acknowledging the consequences of your actions.

Complacency
...is not holding yourself accountable for your actions.

Hypocrisy
...is making someone else accountable for your actions. Punishing others for your own shortsightedness or rewarding others for their ability to conform to your desires.

Self-Accountability
...is being true to yourself no matter how much it hurts you. It means rewarding yourself for the things you do well and owning up to the consequences of your own choices.

Why Anarchism and not Rebellion?

To suddenly create a global or even national state of anarchy, right now, would be dangerous for everyone.

Anarchism is a state of total freedom. And not everyone is able to handle that kind of freedom--because not everyone is responsible or accountable enough for themselves. They've been taught irresponsibility, complacency and apathy through having systems in place that do their thinking for them.

To actively create a state of anarchy would mean taking away more than 3000 years of systematized control. To suddenly remove this control--without warning or preparation on an individual or community level--would lead to violence.

Anarchism, even on its smallest scale, means taking risks, going to extremes and sometimes even breaking current laws. It means being responsible and accountable for yourself and everything that's important to you. It means taking your own life into your own hands and not expecting anybody else to protect you, lead you or provide for you. It means making your own decisions and seizing your own personal power.

Emotionally and spiritually, it also means coming to grips with the fact that you own your life and that you are responsible for you.

Making the decision to take control of your own life and do all of your thinking for yourself is going to pit you against the rest of the world and leave you feeling very much alone.

Why Ministry?

The process of removing ourselves from the need for government has to be a slow and gradual one. Ministry allows us to establish our own traditions while allowing everyone else to hold onto theirs. This makes anarchism a choice and not a coercion, thus improving community spirit. Which is better than forcing political action that takes leadership and guidance away.

A passive, peaceful and spiritual return to how we used to be means that we need to make an effort to get together into small groups of like mind, in a safe and secure environment that is without laws--a No Man's Land.

It is my belief that the establishment of an Anarchic Faith allows us to create a New No Man's Land: A Sanctuary.

Getting together as anarchists means we are going to need to help each other survive the hypocrisy, violence, apathy, complacency and enticy that is the current dominant paradigm. We need to unite as tribes of Free Thinkers and Creative People through wandering our lifestyle and opening our homes.

Peacefully surviving without the need for laws and government takes discipline and unity. We need to learn to find those we get along with and stay around them so we can learn to leave everyone else alone.

All religions come down to the same things: tradition, community, and survival against a dominant paradigm.

Sacraments (Substance), Sanctuaries (Location) and Shamanism (Ministry)...these are the tools a minister (shaman) uses to build a congregation (tribe).

A re-definition of religion allows us to use tradition as a way to live up to our full potential as humans.

Congregation? Tribe? They're the same things: Communities united by tradition.

Ministry? Shamanism? They're the same things: Traditions used to unite a community.

Shaman? Minister? They're the same people: Those who establish and maintain traditions within a community.

They're all just separated by time and belief.

I am a Student of Anarchic Philosophy...

I do not believe in the need for leadership beyond a community level. I do not advocate the use of hierarchies.

Communities can be self-sustaining by becoming self-governing. We do not need a government to take care of us. We can survive without them. In fact, paying for and supporting the use of governments and hierarchies is doing more damage to our communities than we are aware of.

Hierarchies and Politics serve only to divide our communities and pit them against each other in a court of law. Reducing human potential to the size of a vote and the price of a dollar bill. Bureaucracy and capitalism slows things down, preventing communities from improving themselves and surviving on their own. Systemization and Government removes challenges and obstacles, taking away opportunities to learn and keeps our communities from getting stronger.

Re-acquisition of tradition is the secret to strong, successful, vibrant communities.

I support Free Thinking, Creative Efforts, Challenging Lifestyles and, above all, Community Action. We need to escape Apathy, put an end to Complacency and--most importantly--do something about the rampant spread of Enticy.

We do this by establishing new traditions of caring, sharing and community spirit. By thinking and acting only for our communities on a community level.

My intent with this Ministry is to teach you how.

Do you have what it takes to be a community leader?

Do you have the reverence for yourself, other people and traditions necessary to hold your community together?

I may not always have all the answers. I am human, after all, and this is a belief that's more than 3000 years old. There's probably aspects of it that I haven't even discovered yet. And that's what makes this an adventure. Why I'm looking for a fellowship and not a following.

I need to surround myself with people who are my equals. I need to find my tribe.

If we can get together as a community, if we can re-teach the skills of ministry and shamanism in a new way by putting it into living practice...we can make a world of difference for ourselves and everyone important to us.

We can rebuild our communities and we can take our country back. One tribe, one congregation at a time.
