Financial Services Firm to Assist Katrina Victims
PLS Financial Services Announces the 'PLS Katrina Relief Plan' Consisting of Cash Donations, Collection and Distribution of Items for Needy Families, and The Donations of Computers and Computer Equipment to Small Businesses Impacted by Katrina
CHICAGO, Sept. 8 PLS Financial Services will donate over $35,000 and match the total donations from employees and customers to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. At their 200 store locations and corporate office, PLS will also collect donated clothing, toys, blankets and toiletries for needy families. More than two dozen computers and printers will be shipped from their corporate offices to small companies that were devastated by Katrina.

The neighborhood stores of PLS Check Cashers of Texas, an affiliate of PLS Financial, are serving as a Red Cross/Western Union emergency cash distribution center for Katrina victims.
"We are concerned for our employees, customers, and everyone impacted by Hurricane Katrina," said Bob Wolfberg, president of PLS. "Our network of stores throughout the country will begin collecting and distributing supplies to needy families in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana."
PLS Financial will also continue to pay all its employees in the affected areas until the company's stores in those areas are reopened.
