The Concept

I told Michelle Kerrigan that I was looking for a nice house for Jack and Penny's home, and she hooked me up with the Goliwas family. Bill and Trish Goliwas' daughter Kayla is involved with Michelle's organization BETA Children's Theatre, and Bill does a lot of the tech work for BETA. They not only let us take over their home for a day, but they also made coffee and were generally very accommodating for our cast and crew.

Paula's home is a rental property belonging to my parents. It's been sitting vacant because of hurricane damage, and my dad (that's his photo standing in for Paula's late husband Dan) has been too sick with cancer to make all the necessary repairs. The inside actually looks better on tape than it does in real life. Amazing.

The grave in the woods is on some property Tim and I own in Beulah, which is a rural community near Pensacola. It's been in my family for three generations. Benefit: since we own the land, we didn't have to worry about filling in the hole just so after we shot. In fact, we didn't fill it in at all. I guess we will someday, but when the shooting was done, we just wanted to eat!
