The Fly Me Litter has started to take off!!!

We received a call from Ashley Dumas last night, Penni's Fly Me to Haleakala (Maui) took Winners Bitch/Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex at the Sunday Longview, Texas show.  That makes Maui the first of the Fly Me crew to earn conformation points.  Go Maui!

Another update:  This from Inez Lazzari -- Penni's Fly Me to the Moon (Luna) took best puppy at a recent Canadian Kennel Club  show.

AM/Can CH Penni's Sweet Bell Pepper SL (Belle) was bred to CH Penni's Double Helping L CGC (Tater).  Ms Belle proudly presented us with 8 puppies (4 males & 4 females) on 12/21/05.  We're looking forward to getting to know these new "kids" over the next few months.

From the most recent spate of phone calls and e-mails we can deduce...

FC Penni's The Amazing Ms Jane L SL (Jane)....Upheld the family name at the recent Dallas/Ft Worth Dachshund Club Field Trial (Farmerville) with a First place win on February 11, 2006.  Jane has now completed all requirements for her Field Championship!  Ms Jane has done a good bit of maturing over the past few months, and resumed her show career during the late fall.  Stand By! 

DC Penni's Moby DICK SL CGC (Moby)....Continued the "do-it-all" tradition of the Dick and Jane litter when he completed the requirements for his Field Championship award on February 12, 2006.  As well as his AKC Championship, Moby has 6 points toward his Canadian championship.  Watch for Moby to start competing in the Obedience ring in the VERY near future.

DC Penni's Charles DICKens SL CD, JE, CG, CGC, VC, TDI (Charles)....Charles completed his quest to be yet another of Penni's Dual Champions by earning Field Championship on December 17, 2005  at the Hempstead TX (Houston Dachshund Club) Field Trial.  This completes his Dual Championship and will also add a Versatility Certificate to his credit.  Look for "Charley Dog" to continue to actively and successfully compete in Earthdog, Obedience, and Agility as well as Field in the coming months.

AM/CAN CH Penni's Deadeye DICK SL (Gunner)....completed his American championship with a win at the recent Minneapolis show.  Gunner is owned and operated by Inez Lazzari out of Thunder Bay, Ontario, who says his CD is next!!!  THIS JUST IN-- We have learned that Gunner was listed as the Number 5 Longhair Dachshund in Canada for 2003!

DC Penni's Hickory DICKory SL, CGC (Doc)....was the first Dual Champion in the Dick & Jane litter.  He completed his conformation championship with a 5-point major at the Shawnee OK show (May 24th), and earned his Field Championship on Sunday, January 5th at the Prentiss MS Field Trial.  Doc is owned and loved by Ashley (and Stephen too) Dumas.

CAN CH DC Penni's DICK Tracy SL (Tracy)... Tracy just (Spring 2005) completed a Field Trial at Roscoe with a third place win.  That completed Tracy's drive toward the Dual Championship goal.  Jane Larsen says to continue watching for good things to happen in tracking, earthdog, and agility awards.  Tracy is the much loved owner of Jane and George Larsen.

The shape of the future is now for the Pepper Kids (born 12/7/2002)!!

AM/CAN CH Penni's Sweet Bell Pepper SL (Belle)... Miss Belle competed at the recent Dallas/Ft Worth Dachshund Club (Farmerville) field trial on February 14, 2006, and received her first field points with a fourth place finish.  Not bad for a new mom with 7-week old puppies.  

DC Penni's Chipotle Pepper SL (Chip)...  Chip is now a Dual Champion, having completed his Field Championship at the recent Prentiss MS Field Trial.  Chip has been completely owner handled by owner/handler Larry Innes.  Look for more great performance titles for this motivated, high-energy dog. 

FC Penni's Red Hot Chili Pepper SL (Chili)...  Completed her Field Championship at the Farmerville trial in February, handled by owner Nancy Rose.  She is starting to get attention at shows, as well, and will soon add a Conformation championship to her list of credits.

DC Penni's Peter Piper SL CGC (Piper)...  Piper is now a Dual Champion, having completed his Field Championship at the Atlanta Field trial on March 28th, and his Conformation championship at the Marietta GA shows on October 23rd.  He is owned and much loved by Karen Felder.

CH Penni's Salsa Pepper Delite SL (Sal)... Danielle Goodland has guided Sal to yet another show win, this last series at Wisconsin Rapids KC capped off his drive toward his championship!  What a spectacular accomplishment for this Junior Handler/Owner!!  Dani is starting to task Sal with performance events also, so start looking for him in Tracking, the Agility ring, and in the field.

Watch for all of these guys in competition at trials and shows in the coming months!

DCA 2005 is now history, and once again Penni's Dachshunds have made their mark!

First, FC Penni's Red Hot Chili Pepper SL turned in another stellar performance and received an Award of Merit at the DCA Field Trial.

Next, DC Penni's Chipotle Pepper SL earned Best Dual Champion at the DCA conformation show.

Then, DC Penni's Digital Image SL won a #2 Top Producing award for her production of the Pepper litter!!!!
