5/31/00 Happy Birthday to Stephen! I don't have pictures of him because, sadly, I'm a terrible friend who has not kept in touch in a long long time. The thought is disturbing when it comes to Stephen, because in the ten years we've been friends, we've gone through so many life-changing moments together. From the first couple of years of college...when I was at his dorm every weekend, becoming an honorary member of his floor's activities and outings, to experimenting with alcohol and his nitrous bottle, first loves lost and successions of whacked relationships and break ups thereafter, break-of-dawn talks pondering life, death, sex, and farts. He was the first guy-friend who let me see him cry and not feel uncomfortable about it. I think the basis of our friendship is the level of comfortabilty we feel around each other. I'll be talking and he'll randomly reach over and pick my nose, and I don't have any qualms with using the toilet if he's in the shower. It's weird, I know...and believe me, it's not something I do with everyone (boyfriends included). But with Stephen...it's just...Stephen. Anyhow, he's in Chicago right now, earning his Ph.D, and travelling the world over. Every once in a while I'll get drunkenly scribbled postcards from Amsterdam or Japan, or the Carribean, etc...just to let me know how much fun he's having. *Bastard!* The last time I saw him was two and a half years ago, when he spent Thanksgiving with my family. It's kinda sad that I have no idea what's been going on in his life since...I'm sure it's full of excitement and lots of interesting girls...but one thing's for certain, yet can't be said for a lot of people, no matter how long the time or how far the distance, our friendship stays the same through the years. *sigh* =) Reminiscing makes me realize
just how old I'm getting! =P Have a nice day! Super Lotto jackpot: $8 million! |

5/30/00 Returning to work from a long weekend is always hard...but at least it's a short week now. To me, working four days and having a 3 day weekend is perfect. Good idea, huh? =) Did everyone have a good weekend? Hmmmm, what did I do? On Friday, I picked Aric up at the airport, and we met up with Ivy, Wil, and Tony for dinner and movie.
Peg's movie rating- Road Trip get's 4 stars (out of 5).
This was my favorite scene in the movie...actually anytime DJ Qualls (the Atari shirt wearing guy) was on screen I was laughing. The Rules of Cheating: Saturday, I spent the day with my family and Aric, running errands and tuning up my car. Saturday night, we had went to a Charity Banquet for my mom's At-Risk Youth Organization.
The rest of the weekend was spent vegging out, watching videos, window shopping at Stanford Shopping Center, and helping out at Sis' store. Monday, we BBQ-ed at Cin and Matty's again. We ate, hung out, watched TV, played poker, took naps, ate again, hung out, etc... It was a beautiful day to spend lounging around with friends. Thanks, Matty & Cin for being such gracious hosts, feeding us, and letting us take over your home. hehehe Happy Belated Birthday
to Eddie! My parents are so cute, they went to see "Dinosaur" yesterday. My dad's been wanting to see that for a while now. He saw the making of the movie on TV or something, and he really wanted to see it. I warned him that it was a kiddie movie, and not like Jurrassic Park...but they went and saw it anyway. They both came back sorely disappointed. Well...that's my weekend in a nutshell. It was just like any other weekend...not too exciting, but I got to share it with Aric....and he has the ability to make everything fun! =) For some exciting reading, check out the Mos' diggable. Happy Tuesday! |

5/26/00 HAPPY FRIDAY! I started the long weekend early by partying last night with
It's been a long time since we all got together, and it was nice catching up with everyone and reminiscing about our Taiwan Trip of '98. Liz is leaving us to study in LA for the summer.
From the way traffic was this morning, or lack thereof, it looks as though a lot of folks left town for the long weekend. I'm spending my long weekend here with my family, friends, and Aric. I probably won't have time to update my journal until Tuesday, so stay tuned..... =) There are a lot of parties
going on this weekend in the City: Wishing everyone a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend. Remember...don't drink and drive! |

5/25/00 I think the last few episodes, leading up to last night's season finale of Dawson's Creek, were much better. Not to say that the season finale wasn't any good...it was okay. It managed to squeeze a few tears out of me and made me smile like a fool. I really liked Dawson's speech: DAWSON: The first time my parents got married they were young, just out of college. As a little kid, I used to look at the pictures and wonder why I wasn't in any of them. Typical only-child reaction, but when you love someone that much, it's hard to imagine them having this whole other life that you weren't there for. Of course, that life they had without you -- that's what makes them the person you love. The sum total of all the choices they've ever made. The good and the bad. So being here today, experiencing this first-hand, finally getting to be in the pictures -- I wouldn't trade this for anything. Because I'd rather be a part of what they have now, than what they had then. That point where everything is forgiven: that's what love really means. That you can always forgive, no matter what. Dawson looks to Joey. The pain in his eyes is as obvious as ever, and so is the love. He clears his throat. DAWSON: To my parents. Who taught me that love doesn't conquer all. That love ends. And then it begins again. *sigh* It ended exactly the way I wanted it to...
Sometimes it's so nerve-wracking watching these melodramas. Not only are there multiple storylines going on, that switch back and forth right when it starts to get intense, but then there are the 'confrontation' scenes, where you know that everything would be okay if they just disclose their feelings to one another. *argh!* But then again...creating this type of frustration is what keeps viewers coming back for more. Personally, I like directness. I can't let things stew for days or weeks. And I definitely can not hide my feelings from anyone. Tonight I'm meeting
I got my powercard in hand, and I'm not afraid to use it! Have a good day/night! |

5/24/00 I looked up what my dream meant, and this is what it said: Naked In one aspect this is a dream of contrary, and that is if the nakedness was your own, you can expect a stroke of money luck or an improvement in circumstances; but dreaming of others being naked suggests that you will inadvertently uncover a deception within your close circle. Well, since I was the nekkid
one, and not Mr. Faceless Man, I guess the good fortune is mine!
Last night I had dinner with Cin, Ivy, Bett and Wil...in the name of Girl's Nite. One of the topics of conversation was "booking"...and I don't mean the police kind. Last weekend, Wil & Tony, along with Aric, Wey, & Mike went to some Korean Club in LA for Emery's birthday. This particular club does "bookings" (a service of introductions conducted by waiters for a nominal tip). Although this practice has been around for years...it was news to me. How awkward is that? I don't see how "booking" is an easier way to meet people. First of all, guys don't get to choose who the waiter brings over. Second, the guys still need to "throw game" once the girl is seated, except now you're in competition with everyone else at the table...who in fact are your friends. Third, places like this costs a GRIP of cash. And that's just from the guys' point of view. For girls, you're essentially getting "pimped" all night. Aric said that I should check it out for myself next time, just to see what it's like. Hmmmmm...that should be interesting. Wil said that she had fun, except for getting booted out of the booth so the guys can get their "booking" on. Another topic of conversation was the kooky Tom Green...which, by the way, his "Cancer Special" aired last night.
Tom has started a fund to raise money for cancer research. He's hoping to raise ten thousand dollars. If you wish, donations can be sent to the following address: Tom
Green's Nuts Cancer Fund It's good to know that he's doing well now. Don't forget to watch
tonight! Have a great day! Don't forget to play Lotto ($22 million jackpot) |

5/23/00 One more day to wait until the season finale of
I've never watched Dawson's Creek until a few weeks ago, but I kinda get the jist of what's been going on. You can get a lot by listening to the trailers on the radio. hehehe I may not know the whole history, but I think Joey should pick Pacey. Pacey's cool. =) I don't really get a chance to watch TV too much these days, so I missed the much talked about final episode of "90210". What happened? I did catch the season finale of "Friends"...and boy, did I cry a river. I know, I know...I'm such a sap. =P You know how they say "a picture is worth a thousand words"? Photography is one of Rich's hobbies....I think he has a great eye for catching things on film. Over the weekend he and Millie paid a visit to the seamstress who's making Millie's wedding dress. While Millie was getting measured, Rich took these pictures of the seamstress' daughter. All I have to say is....she is adorable!
She even changed into her "princess ballerina" outfit for Rich.
Rich really knows how to capture the little girl's innocence and mood. If you're interested in checking out more of Rich's work, you can drop him an email at: djsyke@hotmail.com I've been having crappy days at the office lately, so this morning I got flowers at work.
Aric does that from time to time to cheer me up. Thanks, sweetie! I am so "happiness"! =) Have a nice day! |

5/22/00 Happy Birthday, Miko!
I had a pretty relaxing weekend. The weather was gorgeous! Friday night I went to dinner with Wing in Saratoga. We went to Willow Street Wood Fire Pizza (yummy Spicy Cajun Calamari appetizer). Mmmm! On Saturday, we had a BBQ at Cin and Matty's. It was a day of gluttony...we feasted on chicken, kalbi, hot dogs, chili, steamed clams, Darwin's famous "craps" (crab), white corn, Somein salad, Aaron's health concious grilled miso eggplant, tofu, and zuccini, and topped it all off with Mrs. Field's cookies, carrot cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, redbean popsicles, creamsicles, and margaritas. Then we lounged around, watched TV, and ate some more. I was watching the Tom Green Show on Saturday...that guy is so whacked! I love it! There was one prank he pulled that's pretty messed up, but I couldn't stop laughing...I know, I'm twisted....: he pretended to be injured (one leg in a cast, both arms and the other leg bandaged up), and he sat in a trick wheel-chair where one of the wheels would fall off. The wheel would fall off around random people on the street, and you can see the horrified look on their faces...they were tripping hard. Almost everyone would lend a hand and help him up. But he would cry out in pain, so they wouldn't know what to do. Some crazy sh*t! HAHAHAHAHA
Sunday, I got sunburned washing my car. It was well over a 100 degrees where I live, and we experienced several power outages. I hung out with Rich and Millie for a lil' bit. It's always nice to see them. =) Hope everyone had a great weekend! |

5/17/00 Wow! This morning I got a lot of emails regarding yesterday's journal entry....including setting a "mood" for Ms. "X" today. Wey wrote an explanation
to:"why we miss the bowl". *Ugh!*...sick, dude! My other friend, Rich, wrote in to say, "I know chicks that would never go do that type of work...heck, they wouldn't even clean their own bathrooms!" Yeah, I know some too. But like I said, it's an experience. I definitely see it as an opportunity rather than something that's beneath me. When Wil first heard how much they were paying, she wanted in on the action too. But then later on, she had changed her mind and said something like, "Tony doesn't want me to clean bathrooms". And as much as I love my sister, it was such a disparaging comment. So I just smiled and said, "that's cool, I don't think you could handle it anyway"....which made her pretty belligerent. hehehe But in any case, if you ever want a humbling experience, you're totally welcome to clean with me. I'll even let you change the urinal cakes. *wink* Rich went on to share an inspiring story of his own, "...my friend Libre and I volunteered to tutor children at the projects. We had to go to their homes and help them with their homework. Those homes were pretty nasty and the conditions were tough. I remember one of the kids gave me a hard-boiled egg wrapped in 'USDA gov't supplied rations' packaging. I was like "thanks, but you guys should eat this yourselves". It was a really sad situation". *sigh* I need a hug. =) Aric found yesterday's dreamlog disturbing. I admit, it was kinda scary... seeing myself in the glass coffin, at the bottom of the pond...face a bit distorted from the ripples in the water. =/ He looked up the meaning of death, more specifically, watching your own funeral, and this is what it means: Ninety-nine percent of the time, dreams about death are simply metaphors for major changes in relationships, career, personality, or some circumstance around you. Dying is the ultimate change we experience so it's a perfect symbol for a huge transition that will take you by surprise or frighten you. As a dream symbol it represents metamorphoses, the ultimate change, that mysterious cocoon from which a butterfly emerges. If you're curious of what your dreams mean, check out: http://onlinedreamexpert.com/ Hope this means I'm gonna win lotto tonight! =D Have a nice day! |

5/16/00 Can I just ask the fellas a question? How is it that most guys I know pride themselves on their "skills"?....such as target shooting, video games, driving, etc... Skills that require precision and aim, yet when they go to the bathroom, they can miss the urinal completely?! The reason why I complain is that on Monday nights, I moonlight as a janitor for Sis' office building. Eight restrooms total...four women's and four men's. I used to think it was an easy-peasy job...but now I dread it. =/ Women's rooms are okay...a lot of hair on the floor, but they have the courtesy to wipe around the sink when they're done washing their hands. The men's room is just plain GROSS! And since I rarely have to refill the liquid soap, I doubt they even wash their hands. Eeeew! Aric thinks I put too much into cleaning the restrooms. If he had it his way, I would wear a space suit and clean everything with a mop (with an extra long handle). But because I'm pretty damn anal, everything needs to be spotless. My work ethic is: "clean it like you're gonna use it". After b*tching last night, my mom asked me if it was worth it. The money's okay, but it's the experience. The experience is humbling. I think I'm fortunate to have a good and comfortable life, and there are people out there that work two or three times as hard to earn the same kind of living as I do. I just don't want to forget about that. Anyhow, for the guys out there....pretend that you're the MAN if you get it all in the bowl. =) Speaking of MAN, check out this webpage: http://www.theman.com.You'll find some interesting reading...especially if you click onto Opposite Sex and check out "Escaping the Doghouse". hehehe Have a nice day! Be careful driving in the rain. |

5/15/00 Yesterday was not only Mother's Day, but it was also my Mom's birthday!
We had brunch at Todai, and spent the whole day doing the things she enjoys most...spending time together, eating, singing karaoke, taking lots of pictures, having fun, and watching the kids run around. I love my mom because she is loving, strong, and hard working. She has a beautiful heart, a generous soul, a youthful glow, and a fun sense of humor.....and that's just scraping the surface. =) I had a pretty jam packed weekend. Friday night, Bett and I went to Jenni's birthday dinner in the City. We ate at Picaro's, a tapas restaurant that served delicious fried calamari, potato cakes, artichoke hearts, sauteed mushrooms, pan fried mussels, and great Sangria.
They even had a flamenco dancer to entertainment you while you ate. After several drinks, we got Jenni to perform with the dancer.
Picaro's After dinner, we headed over to Dalva's Bar and had a couple of shots and beers. Bett and I ended up leaving early so we could make it to Dave's birthday at 330 Ritch Street. We ended up dancing until 2am. Saturday, I went to the Asian American Heritage Festival/Parade in Mountain View. We didn't have much luck recruiting for Roseball since it was an event popular with families with small children and senior citizens. After weeks of planning, Wil, Bett, Ivy, Cin, and I finally met up with Henry, Steve, and Vic (our friends from college) on Saturday night. We had dinner at Montage in the Metreon. Great atmosphere, good food, good wine, incredible service!
After dinner we partied at AsiaSF. So that's basically my fun-filled weekend. I also saw "Gladiator" last night with Wil, Tony, Harvey, and Harvey's friends. I don't know what Wey's talking about, but the movie kicked-@ss! It might be long (2 hours and 45 minutes), but it's worth watching again, and again! You want to see the cutest picture?
She found this poor little stray by the dumpster of my sister's work. My niece reminds me of "Myra" from the Animaniacs, because she won't let go of the poor thing....she just wants to "love him, and hug him, and squeeze him, and kiss him, and hold him, and hug him, and love him"....etc. hehehe Have a nice Monday! |

05/12/00 YAY! It's finally Friday! Today I got the ultimate compliment by a mention in Miss X's and Miss Gabriolet's site. As Josh stated, "when ms. comabound decides to mention you on her site, you've officially made it on the web journal scene. congrats..." *sigh* I'm no longer a Veronica in a world of Heathers. *sniff* I'm so happy and flattered! =)
Aric and Danny went to E3. It really looks amazing!
Happy Birthday to Jenni! Wishing you all a great weekend! |

05/11/00 Happy 23rd Birthday to
my cousin, Heather! *Ugh!* I wish it were Friday already. =( During my lunch break, I went to get a much needed hair trim. It's been a little over a month since I drastically lopped off my hair, and it was starting to grow out shaggy. The outcome of my hairstyle has been quite mysterious in the past week....every day it looked different. I didn't know how to style it anymore. Ever gotten your hair cut by someone who was having a bad day? I did....today. Anyhow, to make a long story short, my hair turned out nothing like the way I wanted it. I wanted it to be the same as before, but just a little shorter. Before it had some style....little wispsies at the end that tapered in or out, depending on how I blew dry it. Now it's just short....all around...like a little boy. *sigh*
Have a nice day! |

5/10/00 Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the week. Woo-Hoo!
This Saturday I'm recruiting for Rose Ball contestants at The Asian American Heritage Parade in Mountain View. If you're interested, or know someone who might be interested, the festival is held on Castro Street from 12pm-6pm, by Civic Plaza and Jason Park. Also, BACSAA (Bay Area Chinese Students Alumni Association) is currently looking for responsible individuals with innovative ideas to work with committee members in producing the 33rd Rose Ball Beauty Pageant on December 23, 2000, @ 7pm, to be held at the Palace of Fine Arts. The following positions are available: Vice President -1 *All candidates will be in charge of recruiting as well as their own positions - this involves massive teamwork. Requirements are that you must have participated as a contestant or volunteer for BACSAA. This is a good addition for your resume, experience the production of a show and meet people (again, this involves teamwork)!!! If you are interested in any of the positions please e-mail us at: bacsaa@yahoo.com to let us know which position you are inquiring about and we'll update you on what the job will entail. These positions need to be filled immediately. Today I got a guestbook entry from someone who checked out my site via Josh's Swank Condo. SWEEEEET! I couldn't believe he linked me! I always figured that my stuff was never raw enough for him. I guess I should talk about sex from now on. hehehehehe Alright, Sonny, move over....I'm about to get down and duh-ty! But not today. Have a great day, and don't forget to play Lotto! |

5/9/00 HAHAHA!!! I saw this cartoon strip, and it made me think of Saturday night's "Delegation of Duties" conversation. The fellas said that they'll do [dishes, cook, clean] but they can't guarantee the quality of the work. hehehehehe Today I got so many emails telling me how dope Mike's Skyline is...other than that, it's been a slow day. Have a good one! |

5/8/00 Once again, the weekend went by way too fast. Friday night, Aric and I went out for dinner and drinks, then we went to Mike's house to watch the Lakers VS. King's game with Eddie and Sue. Afterwards we went to this club that Mike had VIP passes for. The club was okay. But the coolest thing that night was riding in Mike's 1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (right drive since its from Japan). It's a very strange sensation being on the driver's side, but not actually driving. We took that baby up to 120 MPH on a normal city street. Very cool! Mike, you ROCK!
Saturday, Aric and I hung out and watched TV till 2pm, then we had lunch in Monterey Park, ran some errands, and met with Ed, Sue, Wey, Brian, and Grace for dinner at Taiko. Both Ed & Sue and Brian & Grace are newly engaged, so the guys brought up an interesting topic at dinner....how do you delegate responsibilities at home once you're married? Who should cook, and how often?...do dishes?...take out the trash?...do laundry?... clean bathrooms? etc... In my opinion, I think it's a series of give and take. I know some guys who are great cooks, and enjoy experimenting with Emerill Lagasse's recipes, while other guys specialize in hot dogs and fried eggs. So it really depends on your partner. Growing up in my house, my parents did everything together (cooking, laundry, yardwork, chauffering us to and from dance class & chinese school)...etc. It was very equal. Yesterday, Aric and I
met up with Wey and Mike for Dim Sum in Westminster. Then we spent the day relaxing and visiting with his relatives. We met Wey and Jenn at Seoul Garden for dinner....it was an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ place. YUM! I realized what I love about Korean food..and it's all the little side dishes they give you. I ended up eating more of that than the meat itself. Last night's flight got diverted from O.C. to LAX. *Sucks!* I didn't get home until 1am! No wonder I'm tired today! Have a great day! |

5/5/00 WOO-HOO! It's finally Friday! This week went by so slow for me, and work has been pretty busy. Yesterday, I rear-ended someone on my way to work. I've never hit anyone before, so that kind of freaked me out, and left me flustered for most of the day. Not to worry though, I'm alright, and there was no damage caused to my car or his. He did act like a lil' b*znitch about it. This is what happened...we were in traffic, and it was stop n' go for the most part. Ahead of him cars were starting to move, so I roll forward. I don't know if he likes to leave two car lengths between him and the car in front of him, but he inched forward then came to a stop...during which time I looked out the window, or down at my hand, or something (for a quarter of a second), and when I looked up, I slammed on my brakes....but it was too late...I tapped him. He looked at me in his rear-view mirror, then rubbed his neck. I was thinking, "oh geez...one of those guys". So we both pulled over. He gets out and examines his car for 10 minutes (no joke)...and his car was a piece of crap. I prepared my insurance information, my driver's license, and my business card for him, but I all he wanted to do was scold me and make me feel stupid. I apologized incessantly and after another 10-15 minutes, he decided to forget about the whole thing. *whew* Nevertheless, my heart was pounding so hard. This weekend I'm going to down to see Aric again. Yeah, yeah...I know...I was just there a couple of weeks ago. For everyone else it probably seems like yesterday, but for me it's felt like two very looooong weeks. We're going to try and catch "Gladiator" tonight. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Millie! |

Oh, I forgot to mention that last Friday, Wil, Ivy, Tony, Oli, Darwin, Alice, Martin, and I met a bunch of other friends at Dave & Buster's in Milpitas. When we first pulled up, the line wrapped around the corner!...and I'm not used to standing in line at D&B's, since the ones down South are never that packed. I guess there's a new venue for Nor Cal forks to hang out at. hehehe It was really fun!...a Chuck E. Cheese's for adults. For a cover charge of $3, you get a complimentary powercard (which equates to one swipe of a 5 credit game). The powercard is a really nifty idea. You just buy credits and swipe to your heart's content....perfect for us, girls. hehehehe Especially when we're all tapped out, but don't want to leave a specific machine...if you have a wild look in your eye and plead like Alice, guys will give your their powercard in a heartbeat. *wink* Alice and Ivy scored a
bunch of tickets on this one coin game, and shared their prizes with
us. A bunch of us got a cool D&B's travel mugs, Oli got a frisbee,
hacky-sack, and a stuffed Mr. Potato Head, and Darwin got a handy
But the real highlight of the evening was watching Ivy play Furious Furflong. Furious Furflong is a horse racing game where you simulate a jockey riding a horse. She was riding Black Thunder hard and fast and drawing a pretty big crowd, exciting onlookers near and far. She came in second and all I have to say is: Ivy, I hope you find a man soon. =)

5/1/00 Wow...I can't believe we're into another month. April went by in a quickness! This weekend's move was quite a success! I was worried about how I might feel sleeping in another room of the house...that it won't really feel like "my" room. But as soon as all my stuff was moved in, unpacked, and set up, that room felt very homey and comfortable. I love it! Upstairs is definitely warmer than downstairs. I used to freeze my butt off downstairs. In the summer, that room was really comfortable and cool. But in the winter, it's just too damn cold! It has a lot to do with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and one wall being all window. Now that it's warm and I have plushy carpet, getting out of bed in the morning is much easier. =) A great big THANKS to Ivy & Wing for helping me move! You guys are the best! |

4/28/00 Thank gawd it's FRIDAY! Surprisingly, this week went by pretty fast. I didn't win Wednesday's lotto, obviously...since I'm still here and not sipping my Captain Morgans cocktail on my own cruise-ship. =) hehehe Well, I thought about what I would do if I actually won, and I don't think my life would change too much. I'm sure I would upgrade my life with a new car, but nothing fancy like a porsche or anything, and maybe get a new wardrobe. But I wouldn't get crazy with it. It doesn't take much to keep me happy...I'm pretty simple....just ask my friends or Aric. It'll be nice just to know that I won't have to worry about my finances. I think that's the only thing that causes me to grow premature grey hairs in my relatively young age. =P In my opinion, I think money is pretty corrupting...but that's just me. Well this weekend Wil & Tony and I are swapping rooms. I had the downstairs bedroom, with my own bathroom, walk-in closet, and garage. Now that they're going to hold off on buying a house, I figured they should have a section of the house to themselves that is a little more private. So upstairs I go!...and I get to share a bathroom with Heather & Eva (my cousins). I don't know how sharing a bathroom is going to pan out, because I'm a mean @ss neat freak. Call me 'anal' if you want....I like things clean, simple, organized, and nice-smelling. Hopefully, they'll follow suit, otherwise I just might have to rip them a new one. *yikes* Last night I packed up a bunch of things and I realized that I have too much stuff! I am such a pack-rat. Everything holds sentimental value for me. I have a rock that Wil wrote my name on since the 6th grade. A rock?!...can you believe it? I have tons of drawings from my nieces, knick-knacks from here and there, and a bunch of candy I never ate. Oh, check this out...when Wil and Ivy went to Europe a couple of years ago, they brought me back Leonardo DiCaprio gum! HAHAHAHA It was when I was going through my big "Titanic" phase. But in Spain or Italy, or one of those countries, Leonardo DiCaprio has his picture on gum! Funniest thing I've ever seen...Too cool! =) Anyhow, I was talking to Wey today, and I was asking him if I should toss my old "shoeboxes". I have a shoebox for every boyfriend (letters, cards, mementos, etc). I'm pretty sentimental, but nowadays...it's just extra bulk. What should I do? Hmmm? Joyce is moving back this weekend! YAY!
Joyce has been working for KLA-Tencor in Japan for the past three years. It'll be good to finally have her back in the bay! Have a great weekend! And if you have nothing to do, I could always use some help moving! hehehe |

4/26/00 Easter weekend was so relaxing! I had Friday off from work, so I went down to see Aric on Thursday night. We spent the long weekend just hanging out and doing absolutely nothing. We rented movies, watched a lot of TV, run errands, fix up his house a bit, eat, and visit with friends.
On Saturday, Aric, Wey, Janet and I hung out at the Irvine Spectrum. We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, shopped around, and hung out at Dave & Buster's. I paid five bucks for a five minute massage....and it was well worth it! *ahhhhh* On Sunday, Aric and I drove to San Diego and met up with my parents, Wil, Tony, and some relatives for brunch. We ate at the Poseidon in Del Mar, and then strolled along the beach.
*sigh*...back to work now. Well, at least the weather's been really beautiful lately. I hope it stays like this. Tonight's Lotto jackpot tonight: $22 million. Hmmm...what would I do with the money if I won? Last night Aric and I talked about it. Aric's fantasy wish-list includes a couple of fast and expensive cars, a private jet, a phat house up here, down there, and in Hawaii...and in my mind, I imagine the scene in Dumb and Dumber, after Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey discover the money...the way they throw it around so frivolously....even blowing their noses with $100 bills. When it was my turn to reveal my fantasy wish-list, I didn't know what to say. I thought long and hard about it, and all I came up with was that I'd make sure my parents were well taken care of. You know what I realized?...I'm no fun. I thought about it and took it so seriously. I don't really know. I'm supposed to have fun with it....list all my indulgences and flights of fancy. Stick in the mud = peg *bummer* |

4/17/00 Last Friday, Wil And I caught our nieces walking to their very first school dance! They decided to go to the last dance of the school year because their friends wanted to take a group picture. Isn't that cute?! *giggle* Well, after taking pictures and making a big deal out of it, I offered to drive them over to the school (wouldn't want them to hop the fence in their fancy skirts and all). Dropping them off at the bus-circle and seeing all the other junior high kids brought back memories of my own junior high days. Things still look similar...like all the girls greet each other with a high-pitched "Hi" and a half-hug. Guys and girls who are "going around" are holding hands. Girls are considerably taller than the guys. Guys are starting to grow peach-fuzz on their faces. But one thing that's different in comparison is that kids these days are better looking/fashionable. Anyhow, here's a picture of Christel and Amanda before the school dance.
I spent Friday night watching
Blockbuster movies with Wil & Ivy. We rented "Three Kings" and "Body
Shots". Saturday, I met up with Rich & Millie. We didn't attempt to
go to
Then I hung out with Ivy, Cin, Wil, Matt, Darwin, Oli, Aaron, and Steve at Cin & Matt's. We tortured Aaron by watching "The Sixth Sense". That guy hates scary movies. hehehehe Sunday I spent the whole day in my pajamas. I'm not even kidding! No one was home except for Wil, so we kicked it on the family room couch, with my favorite blanket, and watched 4 hours of "Win Ben Stein's Money". It was some sort of marathon. You know, Ben Stein...most famous for his monotoned line, "Bueller?....Bueller?.." in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and the Clear Eyes commercials. Anyhow, I never thought much of him, and never had a desire to see his game show, much less watch 4 hours of it. But if you know Wil, you'll know that she loves Jeopardy!....and any game show that's similar. "Win Ben Stein's Money" is a funny quiz show with clever titles...reminds me of "You Don't Know Jack". We finally had to get up and get ready around 5pm. We had dinner plans with our Big Sis. Here's a pic of the three of us at Il Fornaio:
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mondays...*UGH!* I hate Mondays! REMINDER: TAX is due today! |

4/14/00 I thought this week went by super slow. That's always the case right after a visit from Aric though. Like, we count the days till our next visit. We thought that in time, it would get easier, but it doesn't. Wey sent me a URL on Long Distance Relationships, and I found it pretty informative: http://formen.ign.com/news/17458.html This week was rather productive. I got in touch with three people I haven't talked to in years (Henry, Trish, and Edie). I saw Henry and Trish at "Blue" last weekend, and I saw Edie's brother at my sister's wedding. I think the first thing that crosses my mind when I bump into old aquaintances is what kind of person do they remember me as? I mean, I think I'm still the same. But from catching up with Henry, it sounded like I was a big-time party animal before. Hmmm...and even though I probably was, he was at every party too...yet, I don't remember him as a party animal. I remember him as Quiet/Shy Henry. I'm sure he'd beg to differ. hehehe Today's the BIG GRAND OPENING
of This is very exciting stuff! I even know of someone who played hooky from work just to go shopping today. Made a whole field-trip day of it....I wonder who that person could be? WING!...do you have any ideas? I'm going to join the craze tomorrow when I meet Rich & Millie there. Oh, guess what?! I got my very first inquiry on the Dating Game! Let's keep our fingers crossed and see how it goes. *grin* I've also been getting a lot of requests for a Dating Game featuring eligible bachelorettes. First things first...besides, my only bachelorette at the moment is Ivy. She's not your typical girly-girl either. There is a reason why we call her "Trinity". So beware! Have a great weekend, and don't forget to file your taxes! |

4/10/00 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Wil!
We celebrated Wil's 24th birthday, at Elroys on Saturday. Then we all partied at Blue - AsiaSF. It was great fun! =) I posted more pictures from Wil's birthday on Peg's Photo Album. Check it out. Friday night, Aric came up and we had dinner at A Tavola. Really cute restaurant, great food, cozy atmosphere, dim lights, friendly service. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna and Aric had the Skirt Steak....delicious! 716 Laurel Street
Then we met up with Cin, Matt, Wil, Tony, Ivy, D, and Harry at the movies. "High Fidelity" (3 stars) The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing. Hope you all had a great weekend! |

4/3/00 Welcome Home Wil & Tony! Happy Belated
Birthday to Johnny Kong! Did everyone have a nice weekend? I know I did. It was the first weekend, in a long time, that I didn't have to rush around. I spent Friday night with Ivy, Bett, Paul and Wellington. We had dinner at Miyaki's (in Cupertino) then went to see The Skulls. Peg's movie rating (of 1- 5 gold stars), The Skulls recieved 2 stars. Saturday I spent the day with Ivy....and guess what?! I chopped my hair! Yup!....and I'm not talking about a trim or a bob. I decided to take a chance and let Vincent (my hairdresser) have his way with my head. Okay, that didn't sound too good, but you know what I mean.
Pretty dramatic, huh? Here's a question for the gentlemen..."do guys prefer long or short hair better?" Anyhow, Saturday night, Ivy, Wing, and I went up and hung out with Cin, Matty, and Jeff. We ate at Emeryville Public Market, and saw Romeo Must Die. I must say, I caught more action the second time around.
Sunday, Ivy, Cin, Matt, and I woke up around 10, but it was actually 11. I love Day Light Saving's time, but it takes some time getting used to. I was supposed to hang out with Leev last night, but plans got kinda messed up. =( *sowie* So that was my weekend. Pretty relaxing. Have a nice day! |
