***Mystery Pen Answer***

The beautiful Montecristo ballpoint pen shown on Page 2 is made from a dried
CORN COB.


The dried cob was drilled, turned on the lathe down to the solid woody core, then filled, stabilized, sanded and finished with several coats of lacquer. The unique pattern on the pen is of course created by the rows where the corn kernels were.
