Colonel Straub uses his extensive experience gained from briefings he received as a member of the National Security Committee of the Military Order for development of this lecture. As Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Internal Security and Multiculturalism, Colonel Straub was privy to meetings, lectures, and briefings dealing with the most advanced technology designed to protect the security of our nation. His proximity to the advanced technology developed at Eglin AFB and his years working at Eglin on high profile research and development projects have provided a perfect background for assurance that the data contained in his lecture is state of the art.

CONTENT:

The lecture is specifically designed for military, veteran, and ROTC organizations; however, Colonel Straub has delivered the talk to civic and church organizations, who have been delighted with the insight into how our military is using advanced technology. Subjects such as the new ground soldier back pack containing a fax, direct telephone, instant GPS (Global Positioning System) within feet, self wound evaluation and direct wound evaluation to the field medical aid station are discussed in detail. Other subjects include the discussion of "lock out" chips to prevent firing on "friendly's" and development of similar equipment for our allies. On the civilian side, parts of the talk deal with nano-robotics such as a motor generator small enough to run an ant and invisible counter measures designed to protect our legations and embassies throughout the world.
