was the cowboy host of a popular Saturday morning kids show on WSLS
TV throughout the '60s. "Krispy
Kreme...........KING................ofamericasdonuts"!
'Uncle Looney' (Tom
Hughes) held forth with his own daily cartoon show on WSLS 10 for the
after school crowd.
On special occasions
'Uncle Looney' would be joined by 'Cactus Joe' and his sidekick,
'Little Biddy Pete' (Pete Peters). The trio would appear in many
Roanoke parades and events as well.
