Another brewery in the
boomtown days of Roanoke was the Robert Portner Brewing Co., located
at the corner of Shenandoah and First Streets.

Campbell from First Street.

This is looking West on
Salem Ave. from Jefferson St., again in July of '32.

The street is busy with
people chatting at Jefferson and Campbell around the turn of the
century.

The Texaco station at
Grandin and Memorial had a charm that the later version couldn't
match.
