Streetcar passes from the Roanoke Railway & Electric Co. The busses that replaced them would be run by Safety Motor Transit as well.
The Bank of Virginia in
downtown was a striking building.

Before the flood of
1985, Roanoke's Transportation Museum was located under the Wasena
Bridge along the river in Wasena Park. It featured the Norfolk &
Western 611 engine among others, and included a miniature train and
volunteer built model railroad layout.
