The Weintrautstraße is a seldom traveled backroad tenuously linked to the Information Superhighway. Actually, there really is a Weintrautstraße in the outskirts of Marburg (Hessen). In fact, the above photo was taken in front of a bus stop on that street. Not too far from the real Weintrautstraße is the Weintrautseiche, an oak tree dedicated to the memory of the local nineteenth-century poet Dietrich Weintraut. The photo below shows the commemorative poem that was nailed to the tree:
