Celebrating Halloween is always fun. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department has festivities for everyone to enjoy.
Friday, Oct. 22, 6:30-9:30 p.m. - Teen Dance Paradise Valley Community Center, 17642 N. 40th Street. Wear your costume and get $1 off the $4 admission price. There will be costume and dance contests and much more. Information: (602) 262-6696.
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23 and 24 - "Halloween Co Rec Classic" Adult Softball Tournament Desert West Sports Complex, 6602 W. Encanto Blvd. Softball Tournament for all divisions with Halloween activities for the entire family. Information: (602) 534-3668.

Friday, Oct. 29, 5:30-8:30 p.m.- Teen Dance Longview Neighborhood Recreation Center, 4040 N. 14th St. (southeast corner of 14th Street and Indian School Road). Wear your costume or bring two cans of food and get $1 off the admission price of $4. A deejay will provide the music and there will be a dance contest and costume contest. Saturday, Oct. 30, 6 to 9 p.m. - Sixth Annual Mystery Courtyard Deer Valley Community Center, 2001 W. Wahalla Lane. For real Halloween fun this is the event you don't want to miss. There will be a Haunted Room, Pumpkin Prowl, Cup Cake Walk, Inflatable Moon Jump, Rock Wall, a Magician, lots of contests and plenty of refreshments. A teen zone will be part of the event for kids ages 13 to 18 in middle and high school. Tickets can be purchased at DVCC from Oct. 11 through Oct. 20 on a first come, first served basis and are $5 for ages 2 and over, under 2 are free. Tickets will not be sold the day of the event. Saturday, Oct. 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Incredible Edible Fall Festival Washington Adult Center, 2240 W. Citrus Way (23rd Avenue, south of Glendale Avenue). Free event celebrating good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Fun for the entire family - kids can visit with worms and anti-germs, incredible edibles and dancing vegetables while adults shop for fresh produce at the Farmer's Market, build a garden or get cooking tips from professional chef demonstrations. There will be entertainment, information, games and activities for all ages. Information: (602) 262-6971.
Sunday, Oct. 31, 5 to 9 p.m. - Halloween Extravaganza Encanto Park, 1202 W. Encanto Blvd. Trick or Treat your way around the Enchanted Island Amusement Park and receive free candy. There will be free balloon art and a costume raffle. All-day ride passes can be purchased for $6 or pay per ride. Receive a free carousel ride with a canned food donation. Information: 602-254-2020.
