CANDYLAND CONCERT TO FEATURE POPULAR PURPLE PRESCHOOL PAL
Barney, from the popular children's show "Barney & Friends," will
headline this year's APS Fiesta of Light Candyland Concert and
celebration Friday, Nov. 26. The free, interactive children's concert
takes place at Heritage & Science Park, 115 N. 6th St. from 3 to 8
p.m. and kicks off the monthlong APS Fiesta of Light series of
holiday events. The Candyland Concert features an assortment of hands-
on kids' activities, the lighting of a 56-foot holiday tree and the
area's biggest holiday fireworks display.

Local entertainment will round out the fun on stage. Festivalgoers also will be able to purchase food from an assortment of vendors.
"Barney & Friends," is a popular television show for pre-schoolers that airs on PBS*. The show is a unique blend of education and entertainment and focuses on positive concepts such as good health and safety habits, friendship, good manners, self-esteem, and concern for others. The stage show will feature Barney the dinosaur leading an interactive performance with lots of his trademark singing and dancing.
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department produces the Candyland Concert with support from sponsors APS; ABC 15; 98-7 The Peak; America West Airlines; See's Candies; Phoenix Children's Hospital; and Fry's and Fry's Marketplace.
