Tempe Historical Museum sponsors gingerbread creation contest
TEMPE, Ariz. - In preparation for Gingerbread Fantasia, the Tempe Historical Museum is sponsoring a contest for gingerbread creations.
Entries must be delivered to the Tempe Historical Museum at 809 E. Southern Ave. (southwest corner of Southern Avenue and Rural Road) by 4 p.m. on Nov.29 to be eligible for the contest.
The creations will be displayed at the Gingerbread Fantasia event from 1 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the Historical Museum. Visitors to the museum during the Gingerbread Fantasia will be eligible to vote on prize winners from among all eligible creations. The names of the winners will be publicized in the museum's newsletter, Time Lines, and/or on the museum's web site.
Prizes will be awarded in the categories of most beautiful, most creative, most unusual and most fun. A special prize will be awarded for the best children's entry.
